I love supernatural stories

I strongly dislike the AI narration it’s horrible. It’s very robotic. The pronunciation is horrible. Lots of run-on sentences.

loved the story! only thing I don't like is the computer voice... it doesn't properly catch emotions of the situations.

AI narrator

I lived in New Orleans for many of my adult years and didn’t find the story far-fetched! I played music in the late 60’s to 80’s on the “Street” aka Bourbon Street and came in contact with allot of uh dubious characters who owned some of the clubs we played in so am not surprised at the antics of Slime ball Arseneau, Callie’s attorney great uncle. And with the history of persons like Marie Levoy (spelling), and voodoo culture rampant the horror parts of the book were easy to take!
Unlike one reader who couldn’t get passed the AI voice which is terrible, I focused on the story and even though it’s not great “literature” it’s not bad.
Had to spend more time trying to interpret the AI’s words into feelings than I would normally take but I like stories from the Bayou country!
My recommendation: if you can handle the narrator and like stories based in the Bayou country of Louisiana I say take a chance and try this author.
I’m off to check for anything else he may have written, hopefully without the AI!

The AI voice doesn’t read it with the correct tones and makes more serious stuff sound to upbeat and not the way it’s written.
