If it were just Emerson, he’d say no to the position of construction project manager for the glitzy Crandall Resort. But with a daughter unexpectedly dropped on his doorstep, he has to leave his beloved, but low-paid existence for a job he hates. Kids need to eat, after all, and it’s hard to refuse the ridiculous salary, free housing and all that fine food.

It should seem to be too good to be true, especially when he notices an alluring young woman who fascinates him. Unfortunately, she seems determined to destroy the resort. And the reality is he has to work for someone he despises, someone he thought he’d never see again.

But inexplicable things are happening at the Crandall Resort construction site. It’s not just the ambitious developer and his deranged family. Maybe it’s stress playing tricks on his mind, but it seems as if something is out there, something worse than anything he’s ever faced. Mysterious glimpses of lurking figures in the shadows soon grow into eerie and terrifying threats. With each horrific occurrence, Emerson realizes he and his daughter have become prey to something unnatural, focused on revenge.

With the resort’s grand opening just weeks away, Emerson can no longer deny the truth. The evil is real. Supernatural forces are closing in. Can he reverse the course of destiny to save everything he loves?
