Publisher's Summary

In the searing fourth novel in the Mastered Series, following Unraveled, only one woman can set a hardened fighter free from his past....

In order to survive a life of tragedy, Deacon McConnell embraced his roughest edges and learned to fight on the streets. Then a life-changing jujitsu seminar led by Sensei Ronin Black led Deacon to become a professional fighter. With his muscular physique and his body covered in tattoos and scars, the MMA fighter defines mean, both on and off the mat.

But everything changes when innocent Molly Calloway signs up for his kickboxing class. Molly is Deacon's opposite in every way: she's kind, sweet, thoughtful, and educated. After a heated argument between them turns into a passionate encounter, Deacon realizes Molly is eager to experience more, and she looks to him to take her to the darker edge of lust....

The last thing either of them expects is how deeply their lives will be thrown upside down by the passion they find together.

LJ KNOWS HOW TO LAY THE SMACKDOWN!!

This Mastered series is one of my favorites! The mix of characters leaves a lot of potential for future books so I hope there are more on the horizon.

Molly and Deacon, what a pair--kind of like oil and water. These two weren't the most interesting characters in the preceding books but, Deacon's background and his 'alpha-maleness' *SWOON* made up for what was lacking in terms of Molly's character and storyline---It was a bit weaker than what I've come to love about LJ books. Also, although I love Phil Gigante's narration for some other books I have, he was overly dramatic in this; and the female narrator, wow, I won't rush to get a book with her narration anytime soon. All that aside, I would give the first half of the story 3-stars, and the last few chapters a whopping 10!!! It ramped up something fierce on every level, and I loved it!!!

Great story but narration could have been better

Love the mastered series & this story didn't fail. But considering there were 2 narrators having the male narrator talk all parts in 1 chapter then the next chapter having the female narrator talk parts was distracting. If the narrators had gotten together (the female doing womens parts & male doing mens parts) it would have been 100% better to listen to. Sending this back & buying the book.

Yes!!!

I loved this book. Super hot and steamy and I couldn't help but love Deacon. My only complaint is I don't like when male narrators do female voices.

Loved, loved, loved this book!

Deacon and Molly make a stunning pair. I love the contrast in the characters. I love the relationship challenges & I really liked the evolution of their relationship against the backdrop of the stories of the dojo. I like the way miss James effortlessly weaves the background characters into the story to continue the entire saga. I've already ordered the paperback. I've got to have all of them.!!!
And Mr Gigante Ms Navarre can feel free to read to me anytime!

Incredible

This was my favorite book of the series. I grew up like Molly, and her story very closely mirrors mine.

I really like this series

This is not my favorite of this series but I really like it. I do wish that there hadn't been scenes in the book where one or the other of them said "no not right now" and the reaction was basically "deal with it". It's a normal romance novel thing that I don't particularly like. Aside from that and the weird moment where Deacon is infantile about periods I loved it.

The series gets better and better

Really good book that actually could of been longer.. or use a part 2 like Amery and Ronan’s story. Molly and Deacon both had so much back story it would of cool to dive into their drama more. I hope the author continues this story.. if not with them Blue and Katy

I love these characters!

Part of a series. Can be read as a standalone. No cliffhanger.

I really enjoyed the story and characters, especially Deacon.

Narration is okay.

My steaminess rating: Hot Damn, for a moderate amount of kink and a great deal of passion between the lovers.

Good punch

I liked this story a lot. The main characters were likable and you really wanted them to make it work. Mom, dad and sisters are reminiscent of Cinderella - evil doings - but good prevails. Worth the listen and a good addition to the series.

Not my favorite.

I felt like the book was slow. It got annoyed with her very quickly and just couldn't get over it. It was just ok.
