Acerca de esta escucha
My story is about the Chappel Brothers Corporation, (CBC) and the hundreds of thousands of wild horses their cowboys caught and branded, from 1927 - 1938, on the open range in Eastern Montana.
The book is historical fiction based on true facts. To tell how it happened, I have created several fictional characters based on the actual men that did the gathering, branding, and shipping of the thousands of horses they gathered. I have also used some names and stories of people that were involved with the CBC.
The horses ran in the inhospitable country of the Missouri River Breaks, south of the Yellowstone River, and most of Eastern Montana. The range covered 10 million acres. Enjoy riding with me chasing and catching wild horses for the CBC.

Tommy Lee, not quite 18, shows up at a real cow outfit the morning after his high school graduation ceremony. He is long on cowboy skills but short on social skills, and his job on the Cow Creek Ranch will put him in situations he's not prepared to deal with. Wanting to make a hand and be somebody, Tommy throws in with some very experienced older men who aren't afraid to use their knowledge and expertise to gain wealth quickly. There is nothing far-fetched about this story - you might even say it's dangerously close to the truth.
