Beautiful Love Story

A nice story with beautiful characters. I love the story of the couple and their journey to love.

Fun Rom-Com

I really enjoyed this story of two worlds crashing together. I laughed, my eyes got teary, and I even yelled at the characters once or twice. There were a couple of times the narrator pulled me out of the story, but overall, the reading was great. The author did a great job developing some easily glossed over side characters that made them seem much more important than the couple of pages they actually graced in the story. A worthwhile read!

What a beautiful, powerful, funny, engaging, real story

So much is right about this book. Thanks to the author for writing it and the narrator for bringing it to life. The character, Dreamy, and everyone that orbited her, were honest, flawed, beautiful, strong, not strong, perfect, and relatable. The story kept me engaged from beginning to end. Exploration of self and family relationships was powerful.

Cool.

Not the worst story I’ve read! The pacing was a little slow (like, why did their first date last SOOOO long?), and the financial ending was unbelievable enough that it took me three chapters to realize it wasn’t fake. That said, it wasn’t terrible!

Great Story

I was surprised that I enjoyed this story. it was a slow start but quickly became interesting and I couldn't stop. The relationship between Dreamy and Carter was beautiful. I like how he respected her independence. I will definitely recommend this one to others.

Wish List

Hilarious and relatable at one point I was like hold on! Girl! WAIT a minute !!! I really enjoyed this book and Narrator, I must admit I was looking for book #2 But second book is about Morgan, BUT I WANT MORE OF THIS COUPLE, ---------------------------------I HAD TO STOP MYSELF BECAUSE everyone that was getting on Dream nerves was getting on my nerves and they did get called some petty names oh and I had to hit her EX with the FN.

Just what I needed

This was a breath of fresh air. I laughed, dropped a few tears, & my heart was full. Felt like I was talking to/listening to an old friend. The narration was a familiar voice from Black girls must die exhausted.
Believe in yourself, don't change to fit in, & be the light you know you are ✨️

Really Slow Burn

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 Stars (3.5)

This was truly what you would call a slow burn…..This was the story of two people from two different worlds coming together….Dreamy is a Secretary from a working class family and Karter is a Venture Capitalist from a wealthy family and the two meet when Karter goes to Dreamy office for a pitch meeting to potentially invest and sparks fly. I must say, I enjoyed the banter from Dreamy’s family which consisted of her, her sassy cousin Jordan (who is law school and on the verge of graduating)and their hilariously weed smoking grandfather ( who always wants to give Dreamy’s wigs away to his lady friend).The way the author pens, there’s no ridiculous amount of drama….but, there’s a tidbit that must be resolve before this couple can get to their HEA. The narration was decent.

Uplifting and Funny

The optimistic main characters kept you uplifted throughout, even though life’s circumstances threatened from time to time to steal their peace. There were plenty of humorous moments sprinkled in to make you chuckle out loud and appreciate the budding romance even more.

Great Story

I loved reading this story. The story was well crafted and I really enjoyed the protagonist in the story and the supporting characters. The narrator did a wonderful job conveying the story to readers. I loved the relationship dynamic between Dreamy and Karter. Great story “must read”!
