Publisher's summary
The legends of samurai continue to captivate us. We wonder if the stories we see depicted in pop culture creations, books, and museums are full of truth or enhanced to make a point.
You are going to experience the fantastic world of the samurai, and learn the code, or Bushido, that these men followed to live up to honor and loyalty for their masters as a way of protecting Japan.
The samurai were highly skilled warriors, fighting for various reasons, even establishing the feudal era known as Edo, with a social caste system that put them on the top. The samurai ruled Japan for several years, fought wars, and eventually became obsolete.
But their traditions and codes are not gone from history. They live on today. Everyone can learn a little something from the samurai, including how to live a better life. Honoring people, staying loyal, and defending others when it is right are all virtues of the samurai that can be continued today.
You are going to learn of the eight virtues, the history of the Samurai, some of the most famous warriors, and then you will discover how you can apply their lifestyle to the modern world. Wouldn’t it be nice if people returned to a more chivalrous nature where lying and devious acts are not acceptable and where being honest, sincere, and courageous are looked upon with reverence?
Discover how you can uphold the traditions of highly skilled warriors and live a decent and kind life as described by Bushido writer Inazo Nitobe, even if you are just a regular person.
What are you waiting for? Buy and listen and learn about Bushido now!

This is such an awesome book !!!
This is such an awesome book.Bushido isn't a science and it is difficult to get it. It is comprised of numerous parts, each intended to deliberately adjust each other. Equity, Courage and Loyalty are only a portion of the fixings should have been included only the correct sums. An excess of can be as terrible as too little. A man stressed simply over Justice may disregard Benevolence and a man stressed over Honor may disregard Politeness.I extremely very prescribed it to all...

Extraordinary Audible Book!!!
Extraordinary Audible Book!!! It talks plainly to the code of Bushido and pays tribute to the significance of such a way. Dislike different books I've perused, This book is one book that you will allude to over commonly so it's best to keep it helpful! The peruser never feels like he or she is being addressed to, which is reviving on the grounds that a few books do put on a show of being belittling to the group of onlookers. For the individuals who have been trying to enhance their life and live it to the fullest. So I exceptionally prescribe this book to all...

Other reviews led me astray
This will be the first ever book I am returning in years of audible purchases. The first thing was the full repetition of the first two chapters. The narration was not professional sounding & there were errors ( if the employer gave you a “rise”) with pronunciation. The most bothersome was that prior to the conclusion & again at the end they are basically sweetening the pot with offers for people that leave good reviews. I wondered why the reviews did not match the caliber of book I had purchased. Such a bummer...

This book is written unemotionally !!!
This book is written unemotionally by Lord Liverpool. It gives the facts. The terrible facts of how the Japanese conducted themselves in Nanking and in the second World War. Their culture which decreed their Emperor a living god, also decreed that surrender was not an option and they therefore had no respect or regard for their fellow human being; the Americans, the Australians, the British armed forces and the Chinese who did surrender.

Good informative.
Erudite conciliation of east/west traditions with a Christian perspective. Probably as close to the root of the Japanese warrior code that can be found. I am surprised by some of the reviews that indicate that Bushido, or any other major philosophy, could have been conceived and promulgated without the influence of other cultures.

Story
