Publisher's summary

Buck is asked to come to Italy by Sir Harry Greenbaum, his former main investor, and old family friend, to do a flyover at the beginning of the Formula 1 race in Monza. Turns out the real reason Harry asked him to come was to help him combat organized crime members intent on forcing their way into his pending investment into one of the Formula 1's most historic teams. When Harry gets kidnapped, Buck is forced to scour northern Italy to search for him and to negotiate with his captors.

If everything isn't settled by the end of the race, Harry and Buck's lives are on the line, but when they try to outmaneuver the head of the crime syndicate, thousands of innocent lives are thrust into immediate danger. Buck's race against time leads to more surprises than he ever anticipated.

Great Story and Characters

I’m crazy about stories based in Key West and the Caribbean and wasn’t sure that I was going to you like this one as much due to us location. However, man was I wrong. Great story. Great characters as always and I love the ending. i’ve actually pondered this scenario in the past and I’m glad I was correct. Keep them coming man.
John D McDonald and Tim Dorsey, are now gone. The Dave Robichaux series seems to have come to an end. Randy, Wayne White is still writing , thank God, about my beloved Doc Ford, the character that actually got me back into reading many years ago. And then there’s a you John. Thanks so much for book and for the great stories. Looking forward to the next adventure.
