Dull narrator, very little detail about Buffalo Trace bourbon or its history

The narrator was very dull and hard to listen to. The story gives some good historical detail about the “Buffalo Trace” and other history about bourbon. I was hoping for a deep dive into to the BT Bourbon story along with more highlights of the Pappy history. This book was disappointing, in my humble opinion.

A fascinating story

I was surprised that this was a history of both a place, a business, and most of all the rise of an industry! Great stuff for a bourbon nerd but also a good example of marketing, business planning, leadership and enterprise. Highly readable and recommended.

Just regurgitated information

I had a hard time staying with this book. I’ve read multiple books on bourbon and it’s history and found this to be repetitive of the facts found in much better written pieces. Given the fact that the author did numerous interviews it would have been refreshing to hear in depth stories from the interviewees. I give this a 2 star rating for its lack of originality and fact that political bents were slipped in to a book having nothing to do with present politics.
