Publisher's Summary

Meet the men of Manning Grove, three small-town cops and brothers, who meet the women who will change the rest of their lives. This is Marc’s story....

Officer Marc Bryson doesn’t believe women should be in law enforcement. Ever. When his older brother, Max, is promoted to the small town’s police chief the first thing he does is hire a woman fresh out of the academy. Then makes Marc her Field Training Officer.

Determined to follow in her late father’s footsteps, Leah Grant has the moxie to break any glass ceiling that stands in the way from becoming a police officer. Even if that means proving to her coach - who only wants her in his bed and not in the field - she’s worthy of being a permanent member of the force.

Working in a man’s world, Leah challenges Marc’s misconceptions about women in the line of duty. But as they struggle to separate their work life from their undeniable chemistry, things continue to steam up and get a little kinky. These two officers of the law must toe the line after being caught red-handed.

In the end, can Leah prove to Marc that she is good as backup as well as in bed?

Oh, MARC!

When they fall, ladies, they fall hard!!
I enjoyed book one but I LOVED book 2. We still get a little of our favorites from book 1 so don’t worry.

The description says Leah has moxie and that is exactly how I would describe her! She is a kick butt kinda girl she isn’t going to stand back let things happen she is a doer.
The interaction between her and Marc CRACKS me up. I love how chemistry will get you EVERY time. They really do “try” and you have to give them points for that.
This is just a great story of you think you know but you don’t. Love/lust can sneak up on you when you least expect it.

Let us talk about the sexy times because holy crack-a-moly they were H - E - L - L - A HOT, I thought Jeanne St. James had given us hot before she was merely giving us only a taste! I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us.

Now let’s talk about these narrators shall we, Jason Clarke drizzling chocolate I swear his voice is smooth and silky like drizzling chocolate I can’t get enough. Ava Lucas, no joke this lady’s voice is like a shot of aged whiskey it’s gravely and salutary everything you don’t expect and everything you want. I am a huge fan. If you can’t tell. ;)

I want to live in Manning Grove

I thought I loved Max, but Marc now takes the cake. He was such a strong police officer but a totally teddy bear with the woman he fell in love with. Leah was looking for a real just and ended up with a community and a family that fell in love with her. The two together were massive sparks but true soulmates.A perfect audiobook with fabulous narrators that I highly recommend. I cannot wait until Matt's story.

Fabulous addition to the series

I listened to Max, book one in the Brothers in Blue series and loved it, so when I saw Marc was now available I jumped right in. I adore stories about small towns and when it also has a hot as sin and totally alpha, not to mention a tad kinky cop such as Marc, then I couldn’t resist.

This was a great addition to the series. Ava Lucas and Jason Clark’s narration was spot on for these characters.

The relationship that Marc has with his whole family is great , although to be honest I wasn’t too impressed by his attitude toward women being in the police force initially. It was amusing to watch the great man be bowled over by Leah Grant as she challenged his opinions both in and out of the bedroom.

The chemistry between Marc and Leah was off the charts hot as they tried to juggle their professional and business relationships.

Can Leah prove to Marc that she is the right partner for him in and out of the bedroom or his Marc destined to be alone?

Totally love Marc and Leah!!!!

So lets start off by pointing out this is the 2nd book in Brothers in blue and wow it was just as hot if not more then Max's story.
Marc is a cop who doesn't believe that women should be in law enforcement. Leah is a new recruit for the station and wow is the chemistry think and oh so so HOT!!! As the story goes it builds the sexual tension to the braking point but will they risk thier jobs to be together?
I recommend this book 100% and can not wait for the 3rd one.

Pork butt, pigs feet, please give me more!

Jason Clarke and Ava Lucas brought this amazing book to life! Jason sounded exactly like I had envisioned Marc in my mind! I enjoyed every second of this listen and couldn’t help but like it even more than I did when I read the book! I’ve loved the boys of Manning grove since the very first book with Max and Marc did not disappoint a bit! Marc is a man who comes from a line of military and police men. He has always believed the police force was no place for a woman. Boy was he wrong! The strong and determined Leah comes into Manning Grove PD and turns his world and his views upside down! You get to lots of laughs, love and even a little heartache with this book! Jeanne St James can do no wrong and this book is no exception!

Marc is so hot!!

Marc and Leah have scorching hot chemistry that could have set my phone on fire. lol. He is her training officer but does not think women should be in law enforcement. She is a strong, independent sassy woman that drives him to distraction. There's a little bit of everything in their story: lots of humor, hot steamy scenes, and action. Ava Lucas and Jason Clarke do a fabulous job narrating, as usual. Another hit in my opinion for both narrators and the fan-freaking-tastic author, Jeanne St. James.

Awesome Book

When Marc learns he has to train Leah he is not happy! He does'nt believe women should be police officers. However when he sees her he can not stop the attraction. These two clearly belong together. The whole Bryson family is back again along with Teddy and Greg! There are always good times with that family! Narrartors Jason Clark and Ava Lucas do this book justice!

Hot damn Ms. St. James!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

OMG....if you loved Max's and Amanda's story from book1, then you'll love Marc and Leah's story.
Marc and Leah don't have a slow burn, the sexual chemistry between them is immediate and off the charts and things between them just get hotter and hotter.
I absolutely loved the narration 👏👏👏
There's the natural progression of their love story and the story is also about a female rookie cop and what's involved in her training and her having to prove she/women have the capacity to handle working in a role that's predominately dominated by men.
There are also some funny lol moments which I loved.
I am anxiously awaiting book 3 and I hope Jason and Ava complete the series. Jason was so hot and his character was a little chauvinistic but I loved him as Marc.

DNF

I couldn’t finish this book. The narration - particularly the female - was stilted and wooden. The way she portrayed male characters made them sound sinister and just plain weird. The story itself was also severely lacking.

Another hot brother

I thought after listening to Max and Amanda’s story this series could not get any better. I should have known better.
Leah Grant, a strong, confident, no nonsense woman, wants to work in a predominately male occupation, a police officer.
Marc Bryson is placed in charge of Leah’s training, and he is not happy, being of a mind that women shouldn’t be in this occupation.
I laughed, I praised, Leah as she proved repeatedly to the conceited, egotistical Marc how wrong he was, at work and in the bedroom. Way to go Leah you made the women in this world proud.
This by far is my favorite in The Brothers in Blue series.
In addition to that Jason Clarke and Ava Lucas made the story even better in there narration.
This is my fair and honest review for the author Jeanne St. James thank you.

God... these awesome brothers....

Marc has been assigned a rookie. A woman cop, fresh out of the academy. He is not too happy. She is smart and a quick learner but those are not her only qualities. I love to read about strong female character and Lia is one of those. Also Greg cracks me up as well as Amanda and Teddy. The Bryson boys are great and I cant't wait to listen to Matt's book.
As always with the series narrators, sexy voices, good listening.

Something about Men in Blue

When I started this book, I was sure I could not love Marc more than I did Max....but Jeanne St James has my heartstrings tugged in two directions now! Marc is put in charge of training rookie officer Leah Grant. With a chip on his shoulder, he begins her training, but the idea of a woman police officer is not one he favors and is not afraid to let her know it. Leah will do anything to prove she can be an effective asset to the force, and Marc's jabs just make her try harder. And the foreplay begins. This sizzling hot couple kept me captivated the entire book. Leah is a force to be reckoned with. She is tough, and knows how to put a man in his place. Marc is that alpha male with that chauvinistic tone, and he still can make a woman's heart patter. But these are not the only things that make this book so good. I loved the family scenes, especially the interaction with Marc's father. Getting to see Amanda, Max and Greg also gives that continuity and feeling of coming home as I listen. Enjoying a couple of laugh out loud moments along with a hot, passionate love story makes for a great listen, and this was exactly that!

Bringing these characters to life needs a team of narrators that can provide a variety of voices. Jason Clarke gives the Bryson men that authoritative, alpha sound, each with their own voice. I love his ability to give Marc the attitude and turn it around and show a slight vulnerability. This guy is a tough one, and Clarke shines with him. Leah is a headstrong, confident woman, and Ava Lucas fills her with that great voice. You can hear her frustration, her indecision and her passion all coming through with the different inflections Lucas uses. Plus, we get to bring back Greg, which I absolutely love! This is a wonderful team and fantastic narration.
