Publisher's Summary

An angel and a demon walk into a bar....

Join Rae and Bell as they share a drink and pass the time talking shop at the local dive bar as the Angel and Demon of Death. The war has raged for centuries but despite their differences, and their respective sides of the demilitarized zone in the mortal plane, they are one in the celestial bond of the Brothers.

Not usually a fan of short stories

Great attention to detail and very well written. I want to hear more of the angel and demon’s story.

Solid, flavorful interlude, more please!

Bottom line: I liked it and would like more of the same; you'll like it if you appreciate a little dark humor and playful interplay between opposing powers.

This is a highly enjoyable short with a great balance of humor and contemplation. The author sets up a classic, if almost playful, relationship between the main figures that suits the context and, ultimately, the title. If you're a fan of the kind of personifications you see if things like Good Omens or Lucifer this will be up your alley. It does leave you with questions, but it is to be hoped that means there will be more to read in the future. The author's style is distinctive and easy access. The narrator feels a little green with a few production slips, but shows a lot of potential. Definitely a worthwhile listen.

Interesting

I thought this was a very interesting story. I enjoyed hearing perspectives from both sides of good and evil. The voice actor did a fantastic job, even switching between character voices. I would highly recommend.

Great listen on a drive home from work.

The story is based around two rivals reminiscing over souls of mortals they fought to save or damn. I truly enjoyed this work and the narration was great. I was lost within the world and story for a time and look forward to more.

Kept me wanting more

This book was a great read. I got lost in the story and was devastated when it was over. My only complaint was there wasn’t 10 more books waiting for me to read about the characters I grew to love.

Great story

I’ve always enjoyed stories that put their own spin on the battle between heaven and hell. Dennis did a great job writing the story and the narration by Cristián was just as good. I’m looking forward to seeing more from the author, hopefully a continuation of Rae and Bell’s story.

A great listen!

For some reason, I had flashes from Supernatural, and Frailty, while listening to this book. Classic tale of good and evil where the good breaks the rules to redeem someone and the evil would still express their love to someone who banished them. Very, very well written.

Intriguing

Well written and performed. An interesting look into the lives of faithful and fallen angels. Feels like a taste for a longer series.

Great start

I really enjoyed the story and want to hear more stories of People that Ray and Bell have dealt with.
