A woman plunges into consciousness in the midst of what seems like someone else’s life, sending her on a quest to discover who she is and to craft an identity that makes sense within her current circumstances. As she digs into the mystery of her life, she uncovers a top-secret government organization plotting world domination and a clandestine vigilante organization dedicated to destroying it and is caught between these warring factions.
Nobody in her new world is exactly who they appear to be, including herself. Identity, she learns, is complicated and inseparable from the body in which it resides.

Great Sci-Fi thriller
Brink of Life is the second book in the trilogy with the same name by former clinical psychiatrist, turned talented Thriller and Sci-fi author, Rick Moskovitz. After I listened to and reviewed his other recently released audiobook, Shared Madness, I jumped at the opportunity to dive into this new, interesting series. Although this is book 2 in the Brink of Life Trilogy, it can be experienced as a standalone listen. Fast-paced, well-written and mysterious, Brink of Life #2 follows the actions of a woman who has woken up in someone else’s body and tries to understand what has happened. I won’t tell you anything more about the story, for fear of spoilers, which I hate! I’m sure that I’ll figure out more after I get my hands on the first novel, but as I only listen to audiobooks, that will have to wait. The narration is top notch, with a calm, balanced performance, delivered beautifully by Amy J. Johnson. Amy’s storytelling skills come in handy as she must create the highest level of immersion for such a captivating story. With a clear talent for voices, she manages to keep every character clearly differentiated in the listener’s mind. If you are looking for a completely immersive narrative experience that will make you wonder where the past 5 hours of your life have gone, pick up this Sci-Fi Thriller and you’ll be left wanting for more, just as I was.
