A feminist dream!
A really lovely relationship between the live-wire suffragist and bachelor duke, that grew organically and sensitively. The reason for the three stars is that towards the end, I felt the story dragged on a little and was frustrating at times; I wasn’t left totally satisfied as a reader. However I loved our heroine and the discourse around the conflict of wanting independence and love. Overall a good read that I would recommend!

An absolute favourite!
All romance lovers and regency romance lovers must pick this up. From the romance to the witty humour and best of all how you really feel the characters, absolutely loved this and didn't disappoint when I read it the 2nd time round.

Farfetched
It's fiction but, even so, an English queen in 1898 would never have meddled directly in politics. I could have gone along with this nonsense had not reality intruded when Disraeli was named.
