Publisher's Summary

“I will go.”

Rather than follow her family’s restrictive rules, centaur Brighid chose to set out on her own to make friends and form relationships with humans as well as centaurs.

Now she’s facing her toughest challenge yet. While helping guide home a grieving human—Cuchulainn, her friend Elphame’s brother—Brighid finds herself beginning to care for him - an emotion forbidden by her clan.

To add to her troubles, the Great Goddess has awoken the power of the Shaman within Brighid—the first centaur so blessed in ages. And just as she’s torn between taking up a power she never expected and a love she’s afraid to admit to, Brighid receives a vision of a tragedy that might destroy everyone she’s ever cared about.…

Good series but...

Although I enjoyed this book, why would audible escape have the last book with Scottish narrator (which I enjoyed much more than this narrator) then the free version of this book with the American narrator- it actually also narrated with the Scottish narrator also but requires a credit for that version. Maybe it wouldn’t bother me as much if the last book available on escape was this same narrator. I just had a hard time with her pronouncing Epona different than the last 4 books. Dear audible escape just stay consistent.

this was an amazing story!! I love the way P.C Cast writes she draws you in and makes it so real!!! I also very much enjoyed the woman that read this book it was so easy to see it all with the amazing job she did with all the caricatures voices I will be thinking of this story for a long while. I recommend Elfames choice first... I look forward to the next story by P.C Cast!! AMAZING

Different narrator for escape versions

I love this series my only complaint is that the new narrator for this book the last one is different her voice isn't bad but she pronounces Peons wrong and makes it difficult to listen to.
