Great stories, varying the narrators was annoying

Any fan of the Dresdenverse will love these stories and it was awesome to hear the authors comments on each. One of the things I love about Dresden is how well the story world holds together and these stories fit that. One thing that I found affected my enjoyment negatively was not having James Marsters as the narrator for all the stories. I felt the other narrators did a great job but the voices in the Dresdenverse are well established and it jarred for me to hear them read by other narrators

A small number of new stories

Excellent writing as always from Jim Butcher. Also, God level narration by James Masters. My only complaint was that way too many of these stories were from other compilations and locations. Overall this was not a worthwhile purchase for me. But Butters story and the last story were exceptional. One way or another I think we all need those two accounts. And, I hunger for 'Peace Talks' now more than ever.

So good, the last story is the best

I loved this book so much! And the last story... Well played sir! I love how this fleshes out the characters and the world alike.

Short stories to tide us over till next novel

How highly you rate this book probably comes down to how many of the short stories you have already read elsewhere, for me the number was very low so I found this a great read, particularly with so many of them focusing on other characters than Harry, who do not always get the spotlight let alone being able to relate a tale from their perspective, particularly the last one with Maggie and Mouse.

One crucial point to make about this book, once you have it, do not buy working for bigfoot by the same author since the stories from there are reproduced in this newer edition.

As always James Marsters does a great job with this book, although for once we get to hear more than just him reading parts of it.

Overall, a great listen if you haven't heard many of them before, think more carefully about it if you have though.

Great collection but one warning

Unsurprisingly, this is a great collection of short stories. The only thing to be aware of (as per the summary) is it that it does include the three stories from Working for Bigfoot.

A mix of old and new stories, worth the buy

A couple of new stories in here, and a number of stories I have read before. I ended up listening to the old ones as well, and appreciated them. The author's commentary I found really interesting.

Amazing, with only one tiny thing..

I loved this book. The only thing that stood out was that the Welsh fey sounded a bit Irish. Other, this was great!!

Loved every minute. More please!

Fabulous stories providing background information surrounding many characters. I also enjoyed the explanations by Jim Butcher in between.

Deaden? What's not to love?

A number of short stories, some I had read some new to me.

Loved reading the view point of Molly, Maggie and even Mouse.

Molly is a favourite and. This gave a great view of her now being a fairy princess and how hard it is going to be.

Brief reads, Brief Fun

Thoroughly enjoyed the new stories, especially Day One and Zoo Day. It was also excellent to have James Masters reading the old stories. Evan Hand and Bigfoot on Campus were so much better with his talents.

classic Dresden and friends

After Skin Game I had become a little worn out by the complex webs of storyline but I missed my favourite wizard and decided to try the short stories on Audible. I was not disappointed. Fun tales well woven into the main narrative timeline adding depth to popular characters and newer ones. Delightful stories and enjoyably told by the narrators especially the great James Marsters for the Dresden ones. I feel an old friend has returned!

A satisfying collection

This was certainly a great way to fill in some gaps while we wait. Particular credit for the stories of Molly’s experiences - unexpectedly gut wrenching. The final chapter was a cracker and exceptionally well performed.
