Nicely written and read

I like how this, like the one before, were neatly closed up. There are still questions and obvious threads moving forward, but there’s enough answered by the end to not feel like it’s unfinished or a cliffhanger. The narrator does a decent job at keeping voices straight as well.

Another GREAT book!

I have to confess, I am becoming addicted to this series. The narration is great and the story line excites me. I am extremely looking forward to listening to the next book, I must know what happens!

Breakwater

After the events in book 1, Lark becomes a full fledged Ender. As her first solo mission she is sent to the deep to accompany her sister, Belladonna. True to Lark’s nature things don’t go exactly according to plan. This book is full of secrets, corruption, danger and intrigue. Much like the first book this one was extremely hard to put down and completely blew me away. I can’t wait to start the next book.

Whoa… so much to unpack…

This book gave me some serious whiplash and also some laugh out loud moments. Larks journey seems to just get deeper and deeper in 💩… Making enemies and allies and some aren’t who you think. Lots of action and story crammed into to this one. Loving this series.

Now that Lark's magic is starting to awaken, and she is learning how to use it, she has become more of a target. In the hopes of keeping her safe from their fiery cousins' retribution, her father sends her on her first Ender mission to the Deep, which includes gathering information and protecting his ambassador, the sister who loathes her most.

Can a seemingly unredeemable be redeemed? Will Lark find the answer she's searching for, and will she survive the assignment unscathed?

The ending had me tearing up. From something so awful and life-changing rises hope.

This series has its hooks in me, and I can't wait to find out what happens next!

Lauren Fortgang's narration continues to be stellar.
