Publisher's Summary

Delilah Palmer has always maintained control of her life and outward personality, blocking the truth that's just below the surface. Using a façade meant to be normal and hide the scars of her childhood, she's made a good life for herself. Becoming a successful lawyer, she is finally free from the tortured past that haunts her daily - until he comes along and breaks open the cracks.

Nathan Thorne has a haunted past of his own. On the surface, he is personable, extroverted, and loved by everyone; everything Delilah isn't. However, hidden beneath his charming smile is a dark and tormented man that only Delilah has the power to unveil.

Forced into a small office together, they begin to see through each other's masks, and the magnetic attraction ignites an explosive relationship. Their firm, Holloway and Holloway Law, has a strict non-fraternization policy, forcing them to conceal their breach. But despite their efforts, separation becomes impossible, deceptions escalate, and Nathan begins to teeter on the edge of being overtaken by his past demons.

What dark secrets does Nathan harbor that stop him from giving in, and what is it that keeps him from healing and moving forward? And more importantly, where does Delilah fit into his turmoil? Will they be able to accept love and deal with all the trials that develop as their secrets are exposed, or will they fall through the cracks of their pasts and be consumed by all that haunts them?

An exciting new romance, Breach, book one of the Breach Trilogy, will hook listeners from the very beginning. With smoldering romance and captivating erotica, this enthralling story is perfect for all. Using shrouded secrets of the past and a combustible relationship that borders on taboo, this thrilling novel ramps up the tension and romance at every turn.

Give me more...

I wish I could just surrender my credits now. Seriously, please release the rest of the story so I can give you my $$. The cliff hanger is the only reason for the non-perfect 5 star score...

The story and narration were great, there was enough angst and sex (usually angry, but not mean) to keep me intrigued. I feel like I went around the world with these characters, there was just so much in this book. It worked though; it didn't feel like one of those stories where it felt like the author was just shoving in life altering events or dramas instead of developing the characters or relationships. It felt real, but still kept my interest, and I really appreciated that. I don't want to ruin the story with spoilers, but I will say that the lead up to the cliff hanger was intense and very well done and guaranteed that I'll be returning for future installments of this series.

Story picks up at the end then huge Cliffhanger!

The story finally gets interesting at the end and boom! I'm left hanging at the end. I will probably read the next one to find out what happens.

The story line had great potential but did not hold my attention. I cannot identify or understand the broken main characters. There are a lot of what people would call heated scenes but they were not my style.

The narration was ok. Perhaps a little monotone at times.

Well, if generic "mommy porn" is your thing...

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I received a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

I can't really fath a person that wants to read generic rapie guy sex descriptions.

Really enjoyed this book

Where does Breach rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Really good. I enjoyed this book and really look forward to finishing the series. I finished fairly quickly after beginning it which is sometimes rare for me.

What did you like best about this story?

The sexy times were off the chart, but I really liked the relationship between Nathan and Lila. They were both broken but needed to see that they could love and be loved.

Which character – as performed by Rachel Orlin – was your favorite?

Lila. At first I thought her voice was kinda blah but as the story progressed I saw she had the perfect voice for Lila. It encompassed how she felt about herself and how she lived her life.

Any additional comments?

I would recommend this book. I had this book for years and got the opportunity to review the audio book from the author and figured what the heck. Now I regret not reading it when I bought it. Can't wait to finish the series.

Wow

Lila and Nathan are characters that I can truly root for. They start out with the funny scene of her pulling her pantyhose off in the car and him sitting there watching her and she does not realize it until too late and the story goes on from there. Both are highly intelligent lawyers who discover that they have a dark side and they go on to explore it. Both are hiding things that happened to them in their past and know that they can only revel these things to each other but do they? Well you will have to listen to find out abd also be prepared to get the next book to find out the conclusion.

The narrator was very good and added to the story. This is worth the credit.

This book is full of HOT Scenes yet substance!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Fist off this book was by the author at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review but let me tell you I would pay for this/use a credit in a minute. This book is so good to me. I would recommend it for the 50 shades of Grey lovers not for the dominance but for the broken person finds love story plus hot sex scenes. Overall I just was very satisfied with what this book had to offer and although it is a cliff hanger I feel like the story didn't leave me hanging but left me hoping that everything is ok...I know cheesy but truly its not that kind of cliffhanger where you feel like the author is just trying to be greedy and this could have all been one book. You know when you are like what the HE$$ just happend you know you could have kept the story going. GET THE BOOK it is most definitely well written, funny moments, sad moments, hot moments and a few shut the heck up moments.

What other book might you compare Breach to and why?

The Crossfire Series because of the broken spirit of both characters, both were professionals

Have you listened to any of Rachel Orlin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Firs time listening to the Rachel but she made the characters sophisticated, age appropriate, and I could believe they were young professionals. I loved that she took her time in the story and just gave it a more grown up approach and not whiny young sounding like we hear sometimes.

Amazing!

--I received a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

When this book first started out, I figured it was just going to be one hot sex scene after another...but I was pleasantly surprised at the depth of this book. While I love smut, I do hope for a decent storyline. This book delivers in spades. Delilah Palmer, a lawyer gets a new workmate, Nathan Thorne, a handsome, smart man that becomes the center of all the women in the law firm. Little do we know the complexity of this man. Lilah and Nathan become very close, living in the same apartment building, enjoying each other both in mind and body(and those scenes were scorching..talk about dirty sex talk!!!). We learn so much of Lilah's messed up childhood, how she ended up where she is and how she feels about Nathan. Nathan is not as much an open book, but we do learn some of the dark past he has. The character development of these two as well as the supporting cast that we meet, including Lilah's ex, Andrew is incredible. It's like I know these people and can stop in to talk. As this book was coming to it's end, I was not prepared for the ending. If you don't like cliffhangers, this is not for you, but I can say, I cannot wait to start book 2.

Rachel Orlin portrays this books with incredible emotion and poise. Her voices are perfect, distinguishable and enjoyable to your ears.

This book has unexpected depth

When I read this book I expected to find all sex, all of time and it does start out that way. The two main characters have very strong chemistry. The two main characters are also both extremely broken. They face many challenges. This book takes so many unexpected turns. I wonder about the research put into creating this book. this is not a simple romance novel. This book book has so much much depth you are literally blown away at the end. Thank God it's available for free as part of the romance package because I don't love Cliffhangers but I completely understand why she had to break the books up.

Bad. Just bad and not in a good way

Ok. I admit I only made it to chapter 8 and I NEVER stop a book. I
have listened to books before that I did not care for but I always finish them. But I could not go on with this one .
It starts with gratuitous sex in your face and goes downhill from there. No character development to get to know them-just sex, language , and staring at each other in the office.
This had great potential and I had high hopes for a great new series like Crossfire, This Man, the Stark series, heck even 50 shades.
Breach was not the one— too bad. The final straw was when the narrator said wonton for wanton.
I always read reviews first and this one had great ones. I just don’t get it, but each to his/her own.
