Publisher's Summary

Air force pilot turned electrician Brandon Anderson never thought he’d have money or security, so the inheritance he and his brothers receive from his billionaire uncle seems too good to be true. Brandon can’t help but wonder if there are strings attached. After all, his uncle loves to meddle....

Working alongside his brothers to build a new veterans center, Brandon just wants to get the job done. That all changes when his uncle asks Chloe - the beautiful and confident daughter of a famous chef and food critic - to design the center’s kitchen. Brandon and Chloe have a steamy chemistry, but he struggles with allowing himself happiness, and Chloe is a perfectionist determined never to be in a long-term relationship. Now Brandon has to convince her to finish this job with him.

Brandon and Chloe are used to putting work first, but as they grow closer, they’ll learn that even a real-life love story can have a fairy-tale ending.

Just… boring.

I’ve read several books by Melody Anne and enjoyed them but this one fell flat. I stopped reading 1/2 way through because I was so bored and annoyed with the main characters. Chloe’s character came across a petulant. It was like whip lash - the whole back and forth about being Brandon was insulting to strong women. Over and over, she’d say no then after one moment with him, they’d be having sex and as soon as it was over she was back to “no” with this irrational reasoning for why a relationship would never work - and he just kept putting up with it. This wasn’t a romance… it was more like reading about bumper cars.

Same story different names

These books seem to be almost the exact story line for each brother just with different names. It became grating on the nerves. Also the overuse of “besties” made me feel like I was in Jr high. If you read the first book you have read them all.

Brandon

It is Brandon and Chloe's turn for Joseph's matchmaking. They are next up to work together on the VA center with Brandon working on the electrical and Chloe on the kitchen. I am thoroughly enjoying this series and even though you can read each book as a standalone they definitely go together as a grouping too. Brandon and Chloe had a one-night stand after his brother's wedding and now they are paired up to work on the VA Center and Chloe wants nothing to do with it. However, their chemistry really will not let her alone and when they are in the same room together sparks go off and it is evident to everyone around them they are made for each other. This one is such a "formula" romance but that is what makes it work and, really, why would you want to change the tried and true "formula" when it works!

Rejected Much

I truly love this series, but I wish the author would have went a bit different. It would have been nice for Brandon to stop chasing an ungrateful woman. He honestly is too patient at this point. I was begging him to walk away. They still could be together, but Chloe needed to be written with a wake up call. I hope Hudson and Crew don't have to go through this type of mess. Still love this author and their works.

Excellent story

Chloe is one smart sexy woman. Brandon is one sexy man. He know what he wants and he goes after it. Loved there connection and chemistry. Could not wait to see where the story would go.

Boring

This was a disappointment. There was no plot just lamentations of the lady’s protesting too much.

Love the Anderson men!

It’s amazing to find so many good things about the Anderson men. Brandon was extremely patient, confident and loveable. That said, I really didn’t like Chloe. She was the complete opposite of Brandon. She was irrational, weak and unapproachable. Her constant rejection should have pushed Brandon away but he stayed true. Honestly, I wanted Brandon to stop his pursuit and have Chloe realize what she gave up. He just made it to easy, in my opinion. Regardless, anything with Joseph Anderson is brilliant.
