Publisher's summary

Lord Vincent Prescot's life couldn't be better. Thriving investments, well-respected by his peers, and mind blowing sex with a man who submits to his every desire - what more could he want?

Lord Oliver Marsden should be more than happy with his life. He's been in love with Vincent for over a decade, and six months ago the impossible happened and they became lovers. But since then, nothing has changed. More specifically, Vincent hasn't changed. Oliver has tried to be patient - it took a lot for Vincent to accept the fact he preferred men. But what felt like a tiny distance between them six months ago now feels like an ever-widening chasm. Why can't Vincent stay the night? Is it too much to ask for Vincent to call him Oliver and not Marsden? He knows Vincent cares for him, but does Vincent love him?

Then Vincent's father asks him for a favor - one that involves marriage. If Vincent agrees, he'll have the respect he's craved from his father his entire life, but he could lose Oliver. Nor does Oliver make the decision easy. To keep Oliver, he'll have to do more than deny his father. He'll have to give Oliver his heart.

Publisher's note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some listeners may find objectionable: domination/submission, male/male sexual practices.

Deliciously dirty

I didn’t lose anything starting with the middle part of this MM romance. The only conflict is the expected forbidden relationship kind and really, it’s all about the naughty bits … or should I say naughty bunches, because there are a lot of them, delivered with Thorpe’s sexy deep voice for dominant Vincent.
Who needs the story when the dirty talk and bedroom drama heats up the entire room?

Enjoyable

Bound to him it's book 2 and fantastic continuation to the Bound series. This book begins 6 months after book 1 ended . It deals with Vincent acceptance to his sexual orientation, his love for Oliver and society expectations for a man of his standing during Regency times. And also focus on Oliver needs for economic independence, self worth and if he has a future with Vincent beyond his bedroom.

As in book 1 , this is also another short , quick pace story . I enjoyed this steamy , erotic and a bit unrealistic tale. David Thorpe does well with his narration , a bit OTT but not off putting.

I am glad this book it's with the Romance Package , therefore, "free" with membership. Spending a credit on it, would have aggravated me.

So hot!

I LOVED this. Things get tense between Vincent and Oliver. As weird as it sounds I was glad because not only were these issues realistic, but it gave us plenty of chase and pining! And I love a good chase. We see Oliver stand up for himself and Vincent be an ass, but he more than redeems himself at the end. The sex was like crazy hot too. I might be developing an S&M fetish.

Great story, but hate the additional chapter ruse

Honestly, the book and narration are great, but I feel conned once again buy the addition of the first chapter for book 3 -artificially making the book appear longer and the price more expensive.
I wish audible would ban authors from adding additional first chapters for further books. its a con.

Compelling sequel in this steamy regency romance!

Lord Oliver Marsden was initially overjoyed when his old friend, Lord Vincent Prescott, accepted him as his lover but the thrill is wearing off. Even in private, Vincent seems unable to express any feelings for him and Oliver is starting to feel taken for granted. Vincent’s world is upended when his father demands he marry his brother’s fiancée and a discontented Oliver ceases their affair all in one afternoon. The men challenge each other to make changes, but are they both brave enough to do so? I thoroughly enjoyed this sequel to Bound By Deception, which must be read first. And like the first book, this regency romance is heavy on the sex scenes but the story is compelling. Ava March explores the pressures of societal expectation gay men have faced historically, especially amongst the aristocracy where marriage ensured political and financial advantage as well as ensuring heirs. Once again, the ending is HFN with no cliffhangers. The audiobook is currently free to Audible Plus members and actor David Thorpe provides another excellent narration - I’m going to explore further audios narrated by him, he’s that good!
