Great story!

This short story isn't what I have expected. It's even better. I loved the story of Ella and Zarbonov. Ella is strong and sweet. Zarbonov is honest and protective. The story is well written and the storyline is really interesting. I like the description of the sceneries. I also like the epilogue. I enjoyed my listening. The narration is perfect with Victoria Mei. She has a sweet voice, easy to listen. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Good book

So, this book reminded me of the series Star Trek and all of the different type of 'alien' bodies and planets out there. I enjoyed the way the characters were developed, how the story line flowed and how the author explained so much about the how's and why's of the way things worked.
I listened to the audio book version of this book and Victoria Mei does a wonderful job of narration.

Good story

Zarbonov purchased a mate, Ellla, from Earth at an auction owned by his planet's leader. The two slowly become close. Ella was a very strong woman. She had to be in that alien society who frowned on weakness. Ella had to deal with a very formal alien culture. It felt like there were gaps in the story but there was a very nice HEA.

Victoria Mei did a good job with the narration. I received this free copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Meh

I really enjoy sci-fi romances, so I was a bit disappointed to find this one just average and not very engaging. I found I couldn’t relate to the stiffness of the characters and couldn’t really get the formality of the alien society the heroine found herself in. She seemed kind of a flat character to me and her interactions with the hero just didn’t warm enough to make the story enjoyable for me. Narration was well done.

Quick Listen

I liked this story but feel like half the book was missing. I felt like there was si many gaps and then H and h didnt have much chemistry. I was thrown off but other than that I liked the story. Very thrilling at the beginning before the auction
Loved the narrator and liked how she was able to go back and forth with the male and female characters.

Good Listen

Short, but worth the listen. I enjoyed the storyline more than I thought I would. There's an actual story and not just all sex.

Victoria Mei did a great job narrating. Audiobooks can be made or broken depending upon which narrator the author has chosen. I actually listened to the book in one sitting and enjoyed Victoria's voice.

The cat liked the book and gives 4 paws up 🐾🐾🐱. She also listened in one sitting, although, she slept. But, that's what cats do.

Pleasant read

This would be a nice, well rounded PG13 movie. Characters are solid but not very deep. Slow burn relationship with tepid sex scenes. It’s more of an intellectual battle of Will than anything between the characters to accept the new relationship. If that’s what you’re looking for, than this will be good. If you want steamy alpha conquering....ahhh, keep looking.
