Publisher's Summary

When he agreed to take the fall for his pack leader's failed attempts to help the Rebellion, Jace knew he wouldn't live long enough to regret it. However, instead of the noble end he envisioned for himself, the werewolf finds himself at the mercy of a witch and his depraved games. How long can he cling to his pride and conviction that he can withstand anything his controlling new master can dish out?

Now that supernatural beings have seized control of the world, life has become a struggle for the humans who once held power. Witches, vampires, and werewolves determine the fate of every single human, but their moral compasses have long since been shattered. Rebels, free humans, and slaves all share dreams of hope, mercy, love, and more. But with their fate so uncertain, survival isn't enough... and they may have to sacrifice what is nearest and dearest to them if they want to change their lives.

Bought, Ravel, and Recoil feature different characters whose lives begin to come together in Owned and Temper. This dystopian series explores different aspects of the world, from utter darkness to the shining lights waiting to emerge. Because of this, the books range from dark erotica to romance to horror to action(ish) to bits of other things in between.

  1. Bought*: Jace & Elias. [Paranormal Dark Erotica.]
  2. Ravel: Ashton & Reese. [Paranormal Romance.]
  3. Recoil: Khaz & Noah. [Paranormal Erotic Romance.]
  4. Owned*: Khaz & Noah, Jace & Elias. [Paranormal Dark Fantasy.]
  5. Temper*: Ashton & Reese, Jace & Elias. [Paranormal Dark Fantasy.]
  6. Refraction: Khaz & Noah, Ashton & Reese (Jace & Elias) [Paranormal Dark Fantasy.]

**Please note that the The Fate of the Fallen world has little place for humanity. As a result, content in these works may contain graphic scenes of depravity, cruelty, and violence - sexual or otherwise - that could be offensive and potentially triggering to some listeners.

It's an interesting story with lots of potential. Can't wait to see where it goes next.

Sultry, Sexy, and Dark - I love it!

Ooooh, yes! Bought is everything dark erotica should be (and a little bit more!). I love the way the characters explode right out of the gate on this one. The plot is following along at a steady pace, but with strong men like Elias and Jace the power play between the two is what's going to do it for me.

So, the plot - a werewolf sold to be a doggy sex toy for a wizard who's a power bottom - oh heck yes, give me more! I love the story here, supernatural beings taking over the world... and all the politics that are happening between the different factions, I can see 100 different ways this one could go.

Luckily for me I've got Ravel, Fate of the Fallen #2 already loaded on my MP3 player and ready to go!

Also gotta give props to Jack Noble who is doing a lovely job with the narration on this one. His smokey, sexy, sultry voice is wonderful for Elias *shivers*.

Wild Ride

Jace gives his freedom to protect his pack and while doing so finds something within himself that he didn't know he enjoyed. Ivers is a witch that has purchased Jace. Hot steamy collared moments ensue. Can't wait to listen to book 2!

Furry tails are the new black!

Well, if you are looking for a swoon-worthy romance, look elsewhere since this definitely isn’t a romance book. But if you are looking for genuinely depraved and terrible protagonists with a wicked and dystopian storyline, well, you are indeed in for a treat. 😁 Since this is very short and the first in the series, we still don’t know that much about the core of world building and it’s characters. Nevertheless, what we got is enjoyable, wicked and oh-so-wrong-but-right delicious! 😱🔥 Elias isn’t antihero. He’s is THE villain, period. The witch is cruel, cunning, manipulative, ambitious and narcissistic, just the qualities you look for in a villain. Lol 😂 Enter Jace, the naive and sexy werewolf who got purchased by our wicked witch as a pet. And so this unhealthy obsession begins.

The storyline is interesting and fresh and I can’t freaking wait to start the second book in the series. The narrator did a somewhat ok but not terrific job. The voice is soothing but he narrated too slow for my liking. Had to bump it up to 1.25x speed to fully enjoy the audio. Overall, it was short, it was sexy and it was fun. Loved it.

Craving more!

This book is so good and I was saddened today when I reached the end because I craved more! I want to see how and if Elias can break Jace and if Spencer returns Jace's feelings! Will Jace eventually fall for Elias???

So far this is a great read and the audio is great! I love the different ranges the narrator uses and his voice for Jace!!

Love it!

I have read this book a while ago and I loved it then. So to listen the audiobook just makes in even better! Just Elias voice is amazing! Jack Noble did that voice perfectly! But just listening to all the voices is just amazing. If you haven't gotten this book get it now.

A dark and gritty supernatural future

Ok, if I count the intro novella, Asymmetry, as being tickled with a feather, this was like a full-on rugby tackle! This is a dark and gritty tale set in a world with a vampire who dominates absolutely, and a werewolf sold to be his slave/whatever-he-wants-him-to-be. The world building is good, both in backstory and in the characters actions, and although it has a bleak outlook I want to know more. Solid 3 stars.

The narration is hard to review. Jack Noble’s voice is to die for - beautiful accent and tone, but the pacing was way too slow. I listened on x1.25 and there were still long pauses between words and sentences - there were only small section of the dialogue that sounded natural, where words bled together as they would in a natural conversation, but the remaining dialogue was rather robotic, with each word articulated in full, and when listening on headphones you could hear the switches between dead air and recording. BUT... his voice was to die for! So, 5 for the voice/1 for the editing, 3 overall.

Like it

New to me author and I have to say the story does not disappoint am looking forward to book 2 Ravel.
If you like a dark twisted storyline then this is for you.
The narrator is English and whilst he sounds good he needs to inject a touch more passion to his words.
