Publisher's Summary

The richest bachelor in England plays matchmaker…for an heiress he wants for himself!

For beautiful, witty Lavinia Gray, there’s only one thing worse than having to ask the appalling Parth Sterling to marry her: being turned down by him.

Now the richest bachelor in England, Parth is not about to marry a woman as reckless and fashion-obsessed as Lavinia; he’s chosen a far more suitable bride.

But when he learns of Lavinia's desperate circumstances, he offers to find her a husband. Even better, he’ll find her a prince.

As usual, there’s no problem Parth can’t fix. But the more time he spends with the beguiling Lavinia, the more he finds himself wondering…

Why does the woman who’s completely wrong feel so right in his arms?

Great read

Loved their story so much more than Diana and North’s. Glad I bought it, definitely worth the purchase.

Another fabulous Eloisa James book!!

I loved it!! The Wildes are such fun!! Parth and Lavinia have a rocky road, but it's so fun to hear their witty responses to each other.

Wonderfully Wilde!

From the moment they appeared in the first book, I wanted this story. It did not disappoint. Susan Duerden delivered a great audio reading and as always, Eloisa James nailed it. Loved it!

Perfect, had everything I love in a period romance novel!!!

This was a GREAT series and I encourage you to give it a try. I am looking forward to Betsy and Jeremy story. A big beautiful family with imperfections, had some sizzle, sauce, and flaws and a lot of love. It will join my other favorite author Julie Garwoods books on my shelf to read re-read many times. Well done Eloise James and my all time favorite narrator Susan Duerdon. I actually found the series & Eloise James by looking for books Susan narrates.

When is the book

I love this author. The book follows her typical flow but the story is fresh and unique. The drug addiction plot was relatable and different.

Couldn't put my earbuds down

Born to Be Wilde is the third title in the Wildes of Lindow Castle series, but can work as a stand alone. Featuring all of Ms. Jame's characteristic witty dialogue, likeable characters, several heart melting moments, and wonderful narration, this title is the perfect listen. I love the secondary characters and the family aspect to this series; I can't wait to see what happens to the next Wilde to find their match.

This is more like it

This book totally made up for the last one. I really enjoyed Lavinia and Parth. She was an intelligent woman and although beautiful her self esteem took a huge blow after learning her mother was a thief and an addict to opiates. I liked the way her character was developed. She found a way to solve her problems by doing what she lived. Parth is the type of man I like fiercely loyal and protective yet he had flaws he was able to reconcile in the end. The one criticism I have is that Lavinia spent too much time in believing Parth did not respect her. I would have liked more of them as a married couple and less on the other. Nevertheless I enjoyed it.
Susan Duerden’s narration was great as usual.
