Would you listen to Born of the Ashes again? Why?

Very complicated battle descriptions. Need to hear several times to visualize better. Also will miss several characters who were lost in battle.

What about Jeffrey Kafer’s performance did you like?

His inflexions to illustrate the excitement and the emotion of the quotations.

Amazing series!

Going to try and leave this generic review for all of the books... call me lazy. That said, this is an incredible series, I was afraid I wouldn't find something good after the Black Fleet Saga and Honor Harrington, but then I got into this gem. I loved it all!

Is it possible this is the best yet?

Oh my God, such a roller coaster of emotions and excitement until the very end. I normally wait and listen to an hour during my commutes, but I couldn't wait and listened over the weekend at home, and I'll listen again to the last 3 chapters during my commute this week.

Incredible military space opera!

Where does Born of the Ashes rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I listen to most if not all the great space opera series on audible and this to me really is the best series, starting from the first book in this series each book gets better and better.

What did you like best about this story?

I really like how Ryk Brown builds his story from the beginning of the book to an always dramatic conclusion, the tensions slowly builds and even though each book is part of a series and unlike many other books in a series you always feel satisfied with where the book ended while still looking forward for the next book to see where it all leads to. Very strong character development throughout the series I really care about the characters.

What about Jeffrey Kafer’s performance did you like?

Kafer is fantastic well beyond average he is perfect for this series.
