Publisher's Summary

The fourth novel in the international number one best-selling Mercy Thompson series - the major urban fantasy hit of the decade.

Mercy Thompson: mechanic, shape-shifter, fighter.

Car mechanic and sometime shape-shifter Mercy Thompson has learned, the hard way, why her race was almost exterminated. When European vampires immigrated to North America, they found Mercy's people had a hidden talent - for vampire slaying. Unfortunately for Mercy, the queen of the local vampire seethe has discovered her true identity.

She's also furious when she learns Mercy has crossed her and killed one of her vampires. Mercy may be protected from direct reprisals by the werewolf pack (and her interesting relationship with its Alpha), but that just means Marsilia will come after Mercy some other way. So Mercy had better prepare to watch her back.

Gone Crossed

This is yet again another fantastic story, although I found it the scariest so far. Read brilliantly yet again by Lorelei King.

Great story. Audio skips a few times

I did really like this story, as with all the mercy Thompson books.
It’s just so frustrating though that it skips in a few places, as do some of the others

Another great book

This series gets better and better. Each story carries on from the last but has its own story going on as well. Fantastic the way it’s done.

Patricia Briggs is amazing

I've read the books and now listening to the audio. It never fails to keep me captured. Mercy thompson and her Alpha and Omega series are just fabulous and definitely worth the read or listen

Always entertaining

Having read this many of the Mercy Thompson stories it’s clear I’m hooked.

My only reservation is Lorelei’s man voices are a little creepy. It’s a pity because her Mercy is a delight. Still, it won’t stop me listening!

Brilliant Story

The performance and story is another great addition to this series - I’ve already loaded the next book to continue the adventure, however the audio glitches from previous audiobooks in the series have continued (minimally) into this one too. Not too many, but enough hiccups to be noticeable.

A story of Mercy and Vampires

Another binge worthy book from the Mercyverse that is thoroughly enjoyable. The story this time really builds on the relationship of Stephen and a hint of what a walker can do... definitely a series you can read/listen to many times and never get bored. Love Lorelei's narration

Another excellent book

I'm really enjoying these books, loved the mystery involved with this one. Plots by the vampires unfolded and I love the way the books carry on the themes from one to the next, its done really well.

Mercy's powers are changing and developing and she's a tough, smart kickass woman who feels emotions and also deals with the consequences of her trauma, its also handled very well.

Am loving the pack mate situation and the bond with Stephen and Samuel. Highly recommended series!
