Publisher's summary

Accepting my new fate as only half a witch turned out to be much more difficult than I thought it would be, but when a leader of a coven comes to me with a seemingly unsolvable case, everything changes again.

The Green coven is under attack. The children of its leaders are disappearing without a trace, and nobody knows how to find them. Witches are losing it, and the coven is on the brink of self-destruction. The strangest thing is, the exact same things happened a decade ago, right before the Bone coven broke apart, and I'm not one to believe in coincidences.

Solving this case means making my place in the paranormal world once and for all, and I'm going to use everything I have to get to the bottom of it - even if it means exposing my real magic to the world.

Miss Julian

SLIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD.....

I really like how the witches came together at the end of this book. I really wish the author didn't put so much emphasis on everyone being ridiculously mean to her just because she is a fairy. I feel like it is too exaggerated. There are always people that aren't like that in every society to to act like everyone she encounters is a fairy hater gets a little annoying after awhile. but I understand she is trying to push the agenda of the book but if it doesn't fit I feel like there are other ways to go about it. Anyways, other than that I really enjoyed the book. Our main character is growing into her own and accepting herself , which is important. I love that she is meeting friends along the way finally. I'm definitely getting the next book.

Great Story

Just like the first book this story takes the listener on a roller coaster ride of intrigue and drama. Another great book that is well worth the credit.

good second edition

Need more realism. She thinks as a newbie too much. Covering mundane things that lead to thought process as a detective should side step pitfalls dshe finds herself in. although its probably designed this way, it makes her seem the village idiot at times. I like her but she needs to grow faster than most because of her situation.

Why oh Why

I don’t know why I bought book 2. I suspect I might have been asleep. Book 2 is a continuation of the horror of book 1.
English is the 3rd language of the author. It is a massacre of the English language. The idea is not bad but the execution there off is horrible. The idioms used are terribly wrong. The use of “little” to refer to the adult heroine and every villain is the the expressions a child would use not an adult.
Most of the continuous inner monologue of the heroine is teenage angst. Kill me now. The narration sounds like chainsaw. Change the narrator!
