Publisher's summary

Many strangers we pass by are nothing more to us than blurry faces in the background of our daily lives. Occasionally, one of those faces will catch our attention. We invite them into our world, and sometimes, their lost soul reminds us of what it's like to be innocent.

Terrance Brown is a street-smart resident of a bad neighborhood who seeks an escape to a better life. Penny Lynn is a nurse who struggles to find her purpose after her dreams passed away with her closest patient. Alvie Gordon is a private investigator whose lifestyle has left him afraid and alone. When their pasts catch up with them, a stranger gets caught in the crossfire. They call him Bodhi. He's a six-foot-three mute with a child-like persona who wanders the streets with his shoes untied.

For this virtuous man to stay safe, the others will need to take them under their wings. For one of them to seek revenge, they'll need to teach him how to become a killer. They set out to bring a murderous psychopath to justice along with Bodhi and his closest companion - a stuffed toy crocodile.

This book the title does not give you really any clues on what it is about. It is a great detective book. I enjoyed the characters they were very detailed.

I want more Bodhi!

I soooo love this book! In true Bradley Carter fashion, the story is intense, surprising and has a good amount of twists. I loved how the author built up each character and slowly revealed how they're connected. There were a bunch of times I was in tears. So, having a box of tissue next to you comes in handy.

As always, Troy Duran's performance is just simply outstanding! He's so perfect for this book.

Bodhi Crocodile is definitely of my best reads/listens of this year. I can't wait for the next one!

A character-driven thriller

Bradley Carter has created some exceedingly colorful and compelling characters in this poignantly suspenseful thriller. The plot is riddled with holes and unlikely coincidences, but the characters, especially Bodhi, draw you in and keep you listening to this audiobook expertly narrated by Troy Duran.

Exciting Crime Drama

Fans of gruesome shoot-em-ups will enjoy this unique story and engaging characters. Carter peppers easter eggs throughout so that returning fans are able to experience a larger more defined world without alienating new readers.

Mistakes can sometimes be of benefit!

We are invited to a unique look at the world. To Bodhi Crocodile, a young man mute by choice with an innocent outlook towards life, the world was an empty palette. Bodhi searched for something but he knew not what it was. Several characters will meet Bodhi and their lives will forever be changed. The world is an evil place. But to Bodhi, he looked at life through the eyes of a child. He thought the world was wonderful. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Beautiful Story!!!

I found out about this book and its author through the narrator, Troy Duran. He is my very favorite narrator and I'm always willing to try a book because he narrated it. That has led to some very nice surprises and Bodhi Crocodile is certainly one of them! Bodhi is filled with unique characters, grittiness, brutality, mystery, tenderness, heartbreak, hope, and at its core, in my view, love. The mute, gentle giant Bodhi Crocodile, so named by his friends for his child-like nature and his love of all things crocodilian (is that a word?), is the embodiment of that love through and through.

To describe the plot, at least how I would describe it, just for the sake of telling you what it's about, would take away from its beauty, and besides, there's much more to it than a plot synopsis can give you. My advice? Take a chance and let yourself be drawn into Bodhi's world. I guarantee you will not be disappointed, and Troy will take you on the journey with his voice in a way no one else can. I know I would have loved the book if I had read it myself, Bradley Carter, the author, is that good! I love it even more though because Troy narrated it. He hits all the right notes and emotions every time, and Bodhi's story will always be special to me because of that. Bravo Bradley, Troy and Bodhi! Thank you for a beautiful story!

Surprisingly Good

It took me a couple of chapters to get into this book, but when I did, it was a fantastic listen. I am looking forward to listening to the next books in the series.

Bodhi is Real!!!!

Bodhi is a heartwarming loving guy - so what he is huge and doesn't talk he get what he needs and makes those around him fall in love.

You find out rather quickly how protective people will be when it comes to comes to some they must protect. Be prepared to cry, laugh and recoil cause this book has all the feels and some you didn't even know you could show anymore.

The audio is the best all because Troy Duran voice makes you wanna hear the next word, sentence or just to hear his voice!!!!!

Thank you Bradley and Troy for reminding us all that Bodhi is real if you pay attention!!!.
