Lucky Man, Lucky Audience

Caine delivers an affable, entertaining retrospective of his life that is equal parts acting advice/lecture and memoir. You don't have to be a performer to enjoy it, either (this listener is not). His thoughts on aging and the loss of friends near the end is particularly wise and compelling. Though not a fan of his, by the end I had the urge to see several of his films - and probably will.

Not what I expected

I thoroughly enjoyed the story and have a new appreciation of acting as a career choice. My plan is to rewatch a few of Mr Caine’s movies and I will probably enjoy them even more.

Spectacular "rags" to "riches" biography

I was truly enthralled from the first chapters after listening to Mr. Caine's less than humble beginnings. His struggles, his successes, his perseverance are inspiring. His commitment to his second family and reconnection to his first portray a man of humility and wisdom.

Michael is real man. ..and great actor ....He is sincere ....had his ups in downs in life but had faith and appreciated his highs so could endure the Lows he had in life.
