This was amazing, such a great story and a nice lesson about the history of Martha’s Vineyard.

I like that the pieces of the puzzle all fit together in the end.

I didn’t necessarily dislike the book. I’ve been anxiously anticipating another book from Tiffany Jackson as she one of my favorite writers. I was craving a more dynamic main character or one with more depth.

Definitely worth it!

I am highly impressed with this text. I enjoyed the narration,the plot, and the character development. I am looking forward to reading more texts by this author, and I have purchased hard copies for my children. This was truly a great read for young adults, older adults… anyone interested in a quality mystery.

Great mystery

I enjoyed this book so much! There were times I experienced shock, anger and laughter. It wasn’t as heavy as previous reads but it definitely packed a punch with many underlying lessons throughout the book.

Great Middle Grade Reader

Blood in the Water is definitely geared towards a middle grade audience, but can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It is a fun murder mystery story featuring pre teen “detective” and wanna be lawyer Kaylani.

Kaylani is spending her summer with the very unlikable and very boujee Watson family in Martha’s Vineyard. During her stay, her main goal is to find a way to continue her daily phone calls with her falsely incarcerated father, which is difficult on the island without a cell phone. Kaylani’s secondary goal is to uncover the killer of teen Chadwick, found dead in the water. Eventually, Kaylani’s precocious nature and sharp instincts pay off when the murderer is revealed, and justice is brought for all.

Loved every minute of it.

I love everything about this story. The narration was dope, and the storyline was fire. If you pick up this book to listen to it, you will not be disappointed. Tiffany D. Jackson is an amazing writer and storyteller. You are going to love this read.
