Publisher's Summary

Every day, Morgan learns more about magick. The more she learns, the more her power grows, and sometimes her own strength frightens her. She’s not alone, though. Cal is with her, her soul mate, her partner, her love.

But now she feels a shadow over them. When she casts out her senses, she picks up danger. Is it for real, or is it all in her mind?

Morgan has found her mother’s Wiccan tools, and her relationship with Cal is strong. Everything seems perfect. Except that Cal’s half brother, Hunter, is stalking them. Hunter claims to be a Seeker who is investigating Cal for the misuse of magick. Whom can she trust?

Critic Reviews

“The author does a fantastic job of creating a suspenseful mood and successfully sustains it throughout, and Morgan inhabits a world of magical powers that the average Wiccan does not. The information and facts about Wicca aren’t as plentiful as in other series but the story is more exciting and adventurous.” ( School Library Journal)

this is why I get addicted to these books

I'm actually kinda upset that they only have the first 5 available in audio because I could binge this entire series, it would take a few months but I get hella addicted to these books

One of my favorite series come to audible!

I read all 15 books of this series over 10 years ago, and the story still holds up in the audiobook. It's about a teenage girl discovering who she is when she has always felt a little different from those around her. Her discovery of witchcraft is seemingly realistic (except for the fantastical bits that makes it fiction, obviously), and the group of characters each develop their own stories as the series progresses. In my opinion, the series does not truly start to take off until book 4, and the book 6 (which audible has not finished the series, which is EXTREMELY frustrating!) is where the deeper story starts to overtly take shape. But it is completely worth it!! If you enjoy witch fiction I highly recommend this series. I read quite a lot of witch fiction and it is in my top 5.

Better and weaker

It's both better and weaker than the other two books, but I still love it. The characters are growing!

Blood Witch Bk 3

Main character, Morgan learns about herself and wiccan witchcraft and our author is REMARKABLE is providing real facts about the wiccan world and in our characters world - another granola based tree hugger trying to teach the world "do not harm"
The amount of research our author has done is noticeable and she teaches Morgan the power of feeling good as a young woman and not allowing others to walk all over you.

I LOVED this series! I only wish the audibles didn't stop at book 5 when there are several other books in the series after book 5.

Great book

It’s a great book but it seems this series is extremely glitchy. Every book has this glitch where it skips all kinds.

The ENDING!!!! Made me so mad

Though the narration was good and the writing done well, the ending made me angry. How is this girl supposed to be so smart and yet so dumb at the same time. It doean't match. Or maybe the author is simply trying to draw out what might have been a shorter series? Im not sure but hopefully the next book will get me back on track. fingers crossed.

Revelations

Morgan's life is rapidly changing and as she feels more sure about some things, other things elude her. Big changes are coming and Morgan needs her wits about her more than ever. This was a very suspenseful ride!

Hunter the Seeker

Morgan discovers that Cal's mom Selen hid her birthmother's Book of Shadows, she claims it and learns many things about her mother, family, and origins: She is a Woodbanes, but her clan revoked evil Wicca, unlike Cal, who happened to have a step-brother who evokes the strongest feelings in her, who also is a Seeker hunting wicked witches like his name "Hunter", Hunter has a friend, her name is Sky and she makes a new coven with Bree and Raven joining her, looking to dissolve Cal's coven. Morgan misses Bree but doubts her especially when someone runs her over the road. Then she scries in fire like her mom used to and finds her tools. Meanwhile, her sister is dating a guy who attacks her and she sends a witch's bolt to hurt him, she also helps her friend Jenna who has asthma, and discovers that Raven and Matt (Jenna's boyfriend) have an affair, also that Robbie has been in love with Bree for years. By the end, I think Morgan must suspect that Cal is using a charm and love potion on her, controlling her and her powers.

Awesome to hear the stories being told.

Would you consider the audio edition of Blood Witch to be better than the print version?

I love reading books. However listening to the book gives so much more of the story and ability to bond with the characters. You truly get a better sense of who and what they are.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Blood Witch?

The end. I was totally caught off guard. I never saw it coming.

Have you listened to any of Julia Whelan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

In the past week I have plowed through 4 of the 5 books of this series. She is one of the best I have listened too.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Honestly, yes. Most of the books I buy are a at least 10 hours, so this was the only complaint i have for this series.

Any additional comments?

I'm an older women. I did not think I would like a series that goes back to high school. But the truth is, this series is not about being a kid in school and or about being young. It's about learning who and what you are. They told the story in such a way that her age really did not play into the series. And when It did, it was not petty teenage things.
