Annoyingly abrupt cliffhanger-ending

I wanted a lighter read with a bit of snark, so I chose this UF, which I read three years ago, and must admit I can’t remember the storyline. Looks like I didn’t leave a review, probably because Blood is Thicker has a cliffhanger ending—which really annoys me, especially when I’m not expecting it. Depending on my aggravation level, I knock off 1-2 stars.

This time I listened to the audiobook version, because Kevin T. Collins is an excellent narrator. Mr. Collins gets 5 stars. Mr. Sanchez gets 3 stars after I docked 2 stars for the thrown-off-a-cliff ending.

I like the dog.

I am happy that these books are not too long at around six hours. The narrator is getting better compared with the first book. The stories are good but they just do not grab me and I keep checking to see when the book will be over.

Lol! So I first started reading this series because the author is also a fan of another author I love. My dad also is a fan. That, to me, is the best reason to listen to or read a book. I grew up in a clan who read everything from Heinlan to Harlequinn to Horror. This series has, so far, satisfied my Urban Fantasy needs, for days. I've already passed my dad's recommendation to my brother, and we are all in agreement that these are solid stories. Well done, and I look forward to more! Ps, love the easter eggs!
