Story
Next to the colonial town of Essenwald sits the Vorrh, a vast - perhaps endless - forest. It is a place of demons and angels, of warriors and priests. Sentient and magical, the Vorrh bends time and wipes memory. Legend has it that the Garden of Eden still exists at its heart. Now a renegade English soldier aims to be the first human to traverse its expanse. Armed with only a strange bow, he begins his journey, but some fear the consequences of his mission, and a native marksman has been chosen to stop him.

A great combination the perfect narrator and the perfect author
Although I started this Siri‘s on book 3, I must say it didn’t matter. I was up from the first page. As the story goes on little by little I got the just of their situation and even when I was in the dark I couldn’t put it down. It is good did it against evil and the evil seems to be winning. I loved this book so much that despite a red book 3 I’m going back to read one and two. Before this book I had never heard of Elizabeth Wicksley, I am now going to get acquainted this is the best sci-fi good against evil that I have ever read and I’ve read a lot of sci-fi. I want to keep going on and on about how great this book ass but you’ll have to read it yourself again let me say I accidentally started on book 3 and couldn’t put it down I love this book and can only assume the rest of the Siri‘s is the same.

When opposite worlds collide
Isaac a young man who works helping out his parents with the family business is sequestered into joining the military in the battle of good and evil. There he meets Chloe, after a time they become separated finding others hiding yet some ready to fight for what they believe in. Oswald is one of them. He transforms into something else, something he doesn't quite understand that seemingly grows increasingly evil as the story progresses yet he saves them more than once.
The fantasy world s a believable reality. A mix between the reality we know and a hidden world that is far more than it seems. Many of the same characters seen in the other two books are included in Cathedral Chronicles 3 but the story isn't so much a continuation as an individual story that focuses on new characters.
The book is suspenseful, intriguing and filled with action. To me it has a Lord of the Rings epic adventure feel to it. I think anyone who enjoys that type of fiction would really enjoy this series.

The series is better as they go
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
TLDR; These get better as they go, but I still can't recommend them.
I may be in the minority on this, but these just aren't that good. I can't put my finger on exactly what the problem is, but the characters are hard to follow, I couldn't really understand the story, and I didn't have any connection to any of the characters. I'm not sure what could have been done to help address those issues, but if those could be addressed the bones of the story could have been something interesting.
Overall, I'd say pass on this series.

It’s the End of the World as We Know It
The narration of this book was excellent. There is so much to this post apocalyptic series that is fantastical. The ultimate battle of good vs evil, the invasion of aliens and humans some with supernatural powers can be dark fantasy at times. This book is not simplistic though.
I do recommend it if you enjoy this genre. It is part of series so it will not be tied up by the end.
I was given a copy of this audiobook in lieu of an honest review.

I liked it.
I liked it more than I expected. There are moments that I foud confusing and would have liked more explanation. It also felt like the bad guys were winning but I found this a refeshing type of writing. We tend to see it through the good guy who might turn bad but then fights back to become good again. Not so in this case which surprised me because I was expecting it to go a certain way and it went in another. There are some good guys but they felt minor compared to the evil ones.
If you want to try something different than this is for you.

not the best in the series but good
I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
This was pretty good, though it was thoroughly unrelenting in its darkness. I would have liked a little more success for good to balance out the evil, but I can see how it works this way too. The narration is decent and kept me listening. This is definitely not my favorite book in the series, but it's worth listening to if you've liked the others.

Leave that Book Alone!
This was an interesting concept where a book of great evil is found and then has horrible affects on an Emperor. Turns him from a good person to a truly EVIL person. I found this Audio book truly depressing because there are many descriptions of suffering. The whole Land seems to be suffering from disease and torture. I received this Audio Book for free in exchange for an unbiased review. This is a true battle between the Dark and the Light. I just could not get into it.

Are we the baddies?
The book introduces you to worlds as run by daemons and the struggles of people living within them. Surprisingly less different to ones run by humans than you might expect. The theme of parallel worlds is clearer than in the last book and I found it easier to follow. Increasingly as the book progresses your are confronted with reflections of our own world and our own very human failings.
