I did not intentionally get my butt stuck to a frozen toilet seat.

I did not mean to spray my favorite singer in the face with pepper spray. Promise: I'm just a fangirl, not a stalker.

Pop-rock band, Inked Pages, has just rescued this failed bookshop owner from a desolate rest stop. These four spicy rockstars plan to drop me off at home and skedaddle to their ultra-viral holiday concert.

But the blizzard is a Christmas miracle in disguise.

Twelve days snowed in with my family. Twelve days of hate-f*cks, hot tub cuddles, and naughty cookie-making. They say people fall in love faster during a crisis.

What will these music gods do when the storm clears and the holidays are over? Keep me? Or chuck me like leftover figgy pudding?

Blizzards and Bastards is a standalone Christmas rom-com. This is a reverse harem/why choose story, which means our main female character, Cyan, finds love with four amazing men. There's plenty of spice, lots of festive cheer, and the snowed-in trope. It's light, fluffy, sexy, and angst-free. Narrated in duet style.

I have been looking for a book to get me into the Christmas spirit but all the ones I have found are just to hallmark coded. I loved how she had plenty of bickering and plenty of fluff too!

Cyan is headed home for thr holiday when she makes a stop to use the bathroom when thr worst luck descends upon her. add to her frustration an impromptu meeting of her fave band. embarrassed, she flees to her car for it to not start. The guys of inked pages offer her a ride home amid a budding snowstorm and once they arrive said storm is in full swing & they're snowed in, for days. 4 sexy as sin & swoony men, snowed in with Cyan & her family? What could go wrong? Her family may be horrible, but the guys of inked pages have a secret... they'll make sure she has a very merry christmas! Cyan definitely thought her a$$ getting frozen to a toilet seat lead to the best thing in her life!
Troy & Brooke were fantastic!
A must read for your christmas TBR/TBL!

Snowed in fun!

I think I have four new book boyfriends. They have four distinctive personalities all of them are fun, but Frost is my favorite.
Love to see the ending of the mean family. A good empowerment of the FMC.

Lots of fun

The premise is good. The execution is bad. Nearly every meeting and conversation are riddled with glaring no sequiturs that it's impossible to start a flow, much less build a relationship.

They meet with her ass stuck to a toilet and her favorite rock star comes in. He checks under the stalls (? but I'll stretch and say he's looking for a stalker fan who knew his toilet on the bus would back up and he'd have to stop there and pee). Blah, blah he ends up hearing her in the stall and looks under the stall door. He then crawls under the door to get in the stall *with* her?? WTF? This super star is going to crawl on his hands and knees on a public rest stop bathroom to stand inside a cramped bathroom stall with a random strange girl who describes herself as gangley? And then they just "hang out" in this 5" x 4" public rest stop bathroom???

The storyline never improves. It takes place at her parents house during Christmas with her entire family present. Lucky for the author, the family members disappear from the house unless they are needed for a direct conversation. That leaves the MC's free to roam the house and property in all states of dress while engaging in all sorts of activities.

I don'tknow where the sexual tension was supposed to be, but each spicy scene had at least no sequitur that makes you stop and say "WTF"? To the point it makes the entire scene unbearable. The first encounter she has is based on a five minute hate-flirt with the lead singer of one of the biggest bands in the country. Five minutes ands this gangley girl ends up seducing said rockstar with an unspoken challenge that he can't make her come in *less than 3 minutes*, because yeah, that's something men and women want. A man who can make last 3 whole minutes 🙄.

Finally, the female narrator does the best she can with the dialogue she's given, but because the storyline just doesn't make sense, neither does her narration. Her pauses, inflection, cadence, etc. highlighted the ridiculousness of some of the storyline.

I was really excited to read this, hoping to find a new author. I'm not very generous with the creative licence, though. The story must be able to justify the build of the relationships, at the least. Looks like the hunt for the next great author continues...

Huh? It's like a Hallmark movie screenwriter tried to go spicy... and shouldn't have...
