Billionaire Romance

This Audiobook was another entertaining romantic suspense. If you read the first book, there was a lot of copying and pasting from the first book, but the character names changed. The FMC, Aspen, is a private investigator who is good with guns and likable. Her character was too similar to Monroe. The MMC, Liam, was fun and fell for Aspen at first sight. There were a lot of things that didn't add up but this series was still a fun listen.

Great read

Anna Hackett is an amazing author there has not been anything I do not like. This story was amazing and the characters had a lot to deal with could not put it down. This was my first story from Lucy rivers and Shane East and they were amazing they did a great job and cant wait for more!!!

Loved it!

This book was so damn good! I loved Aspen and how strong she was and Liam was just a swoony, gorgeous billionaire. You can't go wrong there. I was on the edge of my seat so many times, especially during the end, my heart was in my throat!
Lucy Rivers and Shane East did a fabulous job with the characters!

A wonderful surprise

This is my first listen of this book and what drew me was how much I love Shane East. I was pleasantly surprised. The story was engaging. The characters were developed. The interchanges between the characters had moments of humor. Lucy Rivers and Shane East were great together. Well worth the credit. And, I was so drawn in I finished listening throughout a day.

billionaires, blackmail, and bad guys oh my

Liam Kensington is one of the billionaire bachelors and is intrigued with one of his new employees, Penn Chandler. Only, he doesn't get involved with people who work for him... and there is the whole "someone is trying to blackmail him" situation as well.

I love how these two meet because she is helping out a friend and then ends up dealing with so much more than she could imagine. There's the whole, "hot for the billionaire boss/ person of interest" conflict and that she might be hiding some things in order to do her job.

Wonderful read/ listen.

Loved Liam and Aspen!

Another engaging and exciting story in this series! I was not too excited for Liam’s story because he just didnt resonate with me. I ended up completely loving Liam plus Aspen is a tough baddie! I look forward to getting Mav’s story! I listened to this on audio. Lucy Rivers and Shane East did a wonderful job on narration.

What a refreshing female MC!

Anna Hackett is a new to me author and has just gained another fan. I love a strong female lead and Aspen is a badass goddess! I found her inner dialogue to be honest and realistic, which is refreshing. She had just the right amount of insecurity without it going to the whiney zone. She didn't let Liam get away with anything until SHE was ready. Lucy Rivers was absolutely fabulous as always and did Aspen justice. OMG, and when she voiced conversations with the twins or Aspen talked about cooking... I was in tears from laughing. Shane was his usual suave and debonair British billionaire and a perfect choice for Liam. The way he pursued Aspen was bold and, at times, adorkable. Yet it didn't cross the line to being creepy or overly domineering. He also does THE best female voices, hands down. I seriously feel like I'm listening to a full cast recording when they narrate... and I love it!

When PI Aspen Chandler goes undercover at the Kensington Group to save her friend’s kidnapped husband, she doesn’t realize what a tangled web she’d uncover.. or that Liam Kensington, her very sexy Billionaire Boss, would get tangled up right alongside her. The sexy, gorgeous Brit (one of NY’s Billionaire Bachelors) has been wanting something deeper than the money hungry women or the one night stands.. little does he know he’s going to get his wish. Because Fate is about to put these two together and wrap them up in unwanted attraction, chemistry, misplaced anger, lust and desire.. and spin a web of suspense, blackmail, intrigue, tension, danger and an old unsolved cryptic mystery to solve before time runs out.. and their journey will bond them together forever.

Worth a credit? Yes it’s an entertaining, easy-going suspenseful listen with great banter, loveable characters, humor, passion, sex, all the thrills and chills as mentioned previously.. and love. It’s also layered with interesting backstories that forged these two strong-willed independent characters into who they are today. The dual POV narration by Lucy and Shane fit the characters perfectly and they brought the book to life.. but again Liam’s POV was third person (like book 1 Zane’s story) which I didn’t much like at first but slowly got used to. Three Billionaire Bachelors, supportive close friends each with their own standalone book that nicely flows on to the other and with the other two Billionaires making several appearances in each other’s books.

Great narration for a fantastic exciting story

This is a fun one! First, you have a really awesome heroine. Aspen is a PI who is trying to help her friend get her husband back from a horrible gang, Nexus. In doing so, she has to blackmail Liam, who Nexus is trying to get something from. Liam is one of the Billionaire Bachelors who is just tired of the superficial life of being wanted for his money. A few Daddy issues from both sides (Liam's dad is pretty horrific and he features front and center in this book) and these two end up having to fight for their love both physically and mentally. I absolutely loved the characters- Aspen, who has a heart of gold and never takes any flack. She's smart and tough, physically, and is always running into the fray to save someone. Liam, also, is loyal and smart. I really enjoyed the visits from the Zane and Mav (can't wait for Mav's book!) and also, some old friends from the Treasure Hunter Security series (read that book for more great heroines and the men who love them). The greatest part of starting an Anna Hackett book is that I know that the women will strong, smart and unapologetic about it. That and I was immersed in this nail-biting, exciting story!

I listened to the audiobook after I first read the ebook and Shane East did the story proud. Admittedly, I'm a huge fan of his and he was so good, playing multiple characters with and without accents. Lucy Rivers was also pretty good although her male voice is a bit rough, an obvious attempt by a woman to play a male voice, if that makes sense. It doesn't take away from an overall great narration though!
