Backlight blue

A gripping story line throughout. A clever balance of suspence and intriguing family influx of the protagonist.

excellent again

Well narrated, probably one of the best in the May audible series.Excellent storyline too l with good atmospherics but not dwelling on a thread line for 3 chapters like many similar thrillers do.

Best so far

I've enjoyed this the best of all of this series. Some of the other stories felt a little convoluted but this seemed to steam along without any jarring moments. You could see what was coming just far enough in advance to enjoy the anticipation. In the end it was all over a bit too soon

disappointing

Love Peter May's books but this one didn't grab me. I got fed up hearing how every woman he came into contact with fell at his feet. Really Peter? The storyline was a bit fantastical and seemed more about the various love affairs the protagonist had going on than the crime. Yawnful!
