Loved it!

Funny enough, I went into this like a "book date" and I loved it and the main characters more and more. The performance was amazing, the story was captivating and raw.

Infuriatingly Beautiful Read

This one took me for a ride! I was equal parts infuriated, disgusted, and dejected. *** I read the disclaimer before the story began *** and I was relieved that while it did seem like a historical story, there were other elements that reminded me it’s fiction. While the events portrayed likely happened in history, this is a work of fiction. Always check your triggers, I loved this book but it’s dark and can be traumatizing to some. In any case, the FMC is one badass woman and men really ain’t 💩

Powerful story of revenge and hope

What an amazing story! Powerful story of revenge and hope. A woman finding strength to right the wrongs done to her and countless others. A woman finding love and hope for a brighter future. I love the twist, I love the whole story! I wish it didn’t end! I would love to hear more of their story! Rhiannon Rollness is a gifted storyteller and I look forward to more of her work.

Feminine rage at its finest!

I saw this book described as the Mindf*ck series in a Roman Empire based fantasy world and knew I had to give it a shot!

The story was written really well! I like how the two POVs came together towards the end and the twists that happened along the way.

I knew going into the story that it was going to be dark and would definitely recommend checking the trigger warnings. Honestly, there were some parts that were a little too dark for me, which took away from my enjoyment of the book at times.Totally not the fault of the author, especially since there were trigger warnings at the beginning of the book.

Despite that, I really did enjoy the overall story and the journeys of the characters. I would recommend it to those who like dark fantasy with a heavy dose of vengeance!
