After the events of 'Black Swan Planet' Raka has survived and is living on Earth. But he suspects that Marco also survived, and wants to draw him out before he can do more damaged. So he decides the best (or possibly worst) way to do this: make a spectacle of himself, become rich and super famous, so that Marco just has to come out of hiding and find him. Thus begins 'Black Swan Antithesis', a fun continuation of the series that sees Raka, and Marco, travel Earth and the galaxy again.

Like the first book this is a fun, if not slightly juvenile in humor, romp. It's engaging and entertaining throughout, keeping up a high pace, and providing some fun satire. I think the humour in the first book was generally sharper, but this book is still really enjoyable

Narration by David Swanson is really good. He provides a large number of character voices, filled with emotion and excitement. He brings the book and the characters to life. He is well paced, clear and enjoyable to listen to.

A significant character in the book has a link to blue grass banjo music, and a small section of banjo music is included in several places. I'm often not a fan of music played over the audiobooks, but the use of it is done to further the story (plus also to some comedic effect) and it is not overdone or overbearing. Despite my usual dislike of music in audiobooks, I actually found it to be an enhancing element for this book.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this review voluntarily.

A fun continuation

I liked Antithesis at least as much or more than Book 1- Black Swan Planet! The story of our unlikely hero Raka continues, and his adventures include some new characters in addition to some from the first book. Just the right amount of over the top comedy and adventure! Even if you haven’t read the first book, check this one out! David Swanson does a great job with the voice work giving life to each character!

Super fun read!

I thought this was a great follow up to book 1, but it has enough background that you could start with this one pretty easily. It has a very snarky and humorous style that I really enjoyed. The narration was well done, too. I would definitely recommend this to fans of Monty Python and the like.

Good stuff!

I just love this series. This audiobook read is like watching the movie: Monte Python. It's hilarious and the humor at times is very deep, which requires reading at least two more times over the next couple years. I highly recommend this audiobook. Now for the obligatory: "I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."

Great continuation of this series.
