Bittersweet Narration

What did you love best about Bittersweet Love?

I am a fan of the Eaton Family Series. So this story was very enjoyable.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bittersweet Love?

The most memorable moment was when Belinda & Griffin realized how wrong they both were in their opinions of each other..

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator was a disappointment. First, she mispronounced a number of words throughout the story. It was VERY distracting. Second, her reading was choppy in places; pausing where she should not have. Third, her reading just went flat at some points. It was as if this was a practice run. Some of the other Eaton stories were narrated by Corey Allen, ...very enjoyable other than his voice did not register as low as it should have for some of the male dialogue. But he did not constantly mispronounce words as Erica Love did.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

It takes Two!

Bittersweet Review

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I believe the story is good, excellent even but this narrator is horrible.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the fact that they are raising the twins together.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

She has one tone!

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Yes because it would be actors and visuals.

Any additional comments?

I'm going to buy the kindle books,

Narrator worth a penny/min!

This narrator isn't even fit for children's books. Seriously??? A wonderful story ruined! If u can get past the narration, you will love the story.

Great

I really like this book and would recommend this book. It had a great storyline and sexual storyline. The couple was great together. I would have liked to have heard the wedding scene. I like how they raised the twins together and the twins really like them. I can't wait to hear more books by this author and about the Eatons.

Narrators can make or break a book.

This is an age old story told decently by a narrator with a lovely voice and a gift for bringing different characters to life. The downfall of the book is that the narrator's vocabulary is so extremely limited that mispronunciations litter the entire book. It is nearly impossible to enjoy the story line while trying to figure out what she is trying to say. I will steer clear of any book read by this woman for now and will fervently hope that she works to improve this flaw that absolutely tarnishes her talent.

Thumbs down

First off I like other books by Ms. Alers but not this one. The story really lacked a plot and the performance of the narrator was awful with several mispronounced words and slurred sentences! The entire book bored me to tears

Poor narration

Story is very interesting but narrator is awful. I could only make it through the first two chapters. To her credit she does a good job with the children and grandmother. The female lead is ok but the male voices need improvement. Her voice is very flat reading the general story. She also has some trouble pronouncing words. Hope she gets some training

The Eaton Serial Romances R the Best

I really enjoy the Eaton serials, they are all quaint, realistic, & not concentrated on African Americans as criminals, drug addicts or pimps. The characters are well to do, average hard working, law abiding citizens, with ambition. The serials are a refreshing past time. This story involves the death of twin girl's parents. The god-parents taking responsibility to honor the parents wishes to raise their children & the struggles of compromise.
