Gripping story about an American icon.

I loved this story. I grew up listening to Kasem and was sad to hear of his passing. But the family drama during his illness and following his death was almost unbelievable. His loving daughter fought fight tirelessly to uncover what she thought was elder abuse, an effort thwarted by her stepmother. After his death, the international hide-and-seek with his remains was unspeakably cruel to his children. While the work does not openly accuse, it gives you enough facts to come to your own conclusions. The Karate Kid actor makes a fine narrator. We’ll worth a listen.

Perfect podcast docuseries

Interesting, short, cliff-hanger sessions on a topic I knew nothing about! Perfect subject for a short podcast docuseries. I got smarter while being entertained. Loved it.

Very interesting story

Such a sad way for a very loved man to spend the last years of his life. Good for his daughter for fighting so hard for his rights! I too had to fight for a loved one at the end of his life and know how ugly family can get. How awesome is it that she was able to turn a bad experience into a foundation that will protect others struggling with the same unfortunate circumstances.

Beyond compelling...

A must-listen for anyone with aging loved ones... So heartbreaking....yet a reminder about the importance of getting our affairs in order (wills, trusts, estates, etc., no matter how big or small, and to ensure we trust the people left to manage them...

Tragic, but captivating

I was compelled to listen because of my love for Casey Kasem, but realized I also learned about the lack of my knowledge of senior abuse and how prevelant it actually is around the world. The story is unnerving and well told, but a cautionary tale to be learned from. Mr. Kasem should be here in the U.S. , and that should be episode #9.

Unsatisfying? Yes, but insanely intriguing.

It was unsatisfying that there is no conclusion yet, however, I'm really hoping that there is a next part to this podcast to share the outcome of the ongoing investigations and lawsuits. Casey was obviously abused, and I would much rather he have justice than having my own satifaction from having a true conclusion. The podcast was REALLY well done. I've shared it with multiple people and can't wait to hear what their thoughts are on it all.

Good listen

Honestly the most heart braking. He was an amazing man. He was an icon. I am sorry for his tragic end. I hope they are punished.

Wow, what a tragic story.

This is such a sad story. I grew up hearing his voice on Scooby doo, and listening to the top 40 show in the 80’s. I hope his older kids find peace when this is all over with.

I loved listening to Kasey on the radio as I was growing up. I had no idea all the drama and heartache that unfolded in the final years of his life. This podcast was a real eye opener and an incredible story. Great work!
