He's still the bossy alpha male who drives me crazy, but I eventually discover that there's so much more to Marcus than what's on the surface. Apparently, I've never known the real Marcus Colter.

Amazing love story!

Marcus Colter was a man who traveled the world as a businessman; little didn't those around him know what he was really up to. He was a man who was loyal to a fault whether is was with family, friends or his country. He also turned up anywhere Dani Lawson was making sure she was safe. When Dani almost died at the hands of some really bad people in the Middle East, it almost was more than Marcus could take. Once they were home Marcus has to save her again and soon after all the smoke clears they start on a journey to get to know each other and discover what love and family are really all about.

This story has it all, romance, courage, strength, second chances, and adventure! I absolutely love the Colter family! This family isn't perfect and there have been some really hard/sad times for this group but they are strong and loyal to each other. Dani had suffered some really awful things at the hands of some rebels and she was stronger and forever changed. Marcus was a strong, alpha man who finally realized that Dani was his one weakness but even in that weakness he was just who Dani needed in her life. Marcus absolutely needed someone like Dani as she was strong enough to find out who Marcus really was and helped him show it to her and his family. This story has a strong, interesting plot and I really liked the H&H from the beginning. I loved how this author pulled everything together at the end very nicely.

I really enjoyed it. The narration was awesome as always! The author did a great job with the character builds and plot as always! I look forward to reading Jett's story next. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Not what you think

I absolutely loved Marcus. I finally understood why he is the way he is. Family is everything. How far are you willing to go to save someone. Captivating.

Marcus & Dani

JS Scott always has a great story. Marcus and Dani's was no exception. It is also great to hear about the other characters we love so much. Marcus lead a double life and only his family new of his work as a agent. Dani was a strong woman who loved to chase a story. She had landed in a terrible situation and needed to be rescued. Just when she thought there was no hope she was saved. Characters had great chemistry. The narrator also did a good job. Can't wait to listen to more.
