Can’t give enough stars!

Although it took a bit to get used to the narrators voice, i did and it was a very appropriate voice for the story! The book is one of the finest mixes of good humour, well defined, individual and fascinating characters, real history, beautiful but not over done romance, and a narrative that at times had me tense with suspense...my first book by this author. I can’t wait for more!

My favorite Elizabeth Camden book

The main characters in this book are so true to life and I fell in love with them immediately. The story is well told and in a way that leaves you feeling the characters joys and pain. The narration was perfect!

I did not want this to end!!

Like all of Ms. Camden’s books I enjoy them all immensely. This one in particular and the one about food safety were fountains of information on these historical events. The flaws & faith in the characters rang so true for me. Christians are not perfect people, we are people who strive to follow the best example in Jesus. The line that continues to echo in my mind is “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God”.

Great read!

Historical fiction is my favorite genre. This blends history, humor, and intrigue into a romantic novel. Entertaining.
