Loved it!

I loved how SCC writes in such an authentic, candid, real, and relatable way. I am encouraged, inspired and blessed to have listened to this book. I had a hard time with the narrator at first (I really wanted it to be SCC’s voice) but I grew to enjoy it. The first chapter started a little slow for me but then I couldn’t stop listening. Highly recommend!

Anointed!!

This book was so anointed!! God truly turned tragedy into triumphs many times over for Steven and his wife and family and it was extremely inspiring to read. The narrator did an excellent job reading as if it was Steven Curtis Chapman himself!

It's Raw and Real, It's God!

Loved it so much! A story that does not just tug at your heart and give an easy answer to the grief we experience here on this earth, but still points us to the God who is our only Hope. It truly shows that Hope!

If I could rate it higher I would

I have struggled trying to return to a time when my heart believed and heard God’s voice. This life story made my heart quiver and sing as no other. It would take a book of my own to make you understand but I believe that God can minister in tears and much laughter through this story.

The performance was impeccable. I would not have wanted anyone else to read this story. I will look for this performer again.

A story of God working in a willing heart

An excellent book showing how God has worked in the life of Steven Curtis Chapman. He does not sugar coat the difficulties he faced, the deep sorrows he experienced nor the times of doubt that he had.
His thoughts and feelings regarding the loss of his daughter Maria were an honest, raw description of the grief associated with such a loss. Only a person who has experienced the loss of a loved one can understand the depth of pain he described and yet I found his honesty in grief encouraging to me and the loss of my wife.
Read this book to be reminded of how great our God is and of the hope found in Him.
