Publisher's Summary

Homeless and destitute, Claire Stines has no choice but to move into the log house bequeathed to her out in the Minnesota wilderness. Although she has little else to sustain her other than a few dollars and even fewer seeds of hope, she believes she can make a fresh start for herself, and if she’s lucky, maybe find a little romance.

But first she has to overcome the rumors of the house’s supposedly dark past. More importantly, who is that young man she’s seen in the woods, and why has he been watching her from a distance ever since she arrived?

And why does he both fascinate and terrify her?

Sweet, a big yay outcome. Loved this.

This was just the fight length. Just enough detail., fleshed out enough for a short story. I loved this one. A new favourite!

Well performed. Male and female voices done equally well.

A unique twist on a PNR short story

I was really surprised by this little tale of a cursed house passed down to a young woman whom finds a strange man in the woods. It's not the man she should fear but the dark secrets the house holds within it's walls.
I love the twists that Linda Mooney puts into her stories and I never see them coming. As someone whom reads a lot, it's a breathe of fresh air to still be surprised. The narrator did a great job with the characters, emotions and overall storytelling.
If you want a quick PNR listen with some heat and mystery; all in a bite-sized nugget. give this one a try.

Bequeathed is a short and enjoyable fantasy romance novella. Despite the length, the story didn't feel rushed, and the characters were likeable. Excellent writing and performance by Linda Mooney. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Hauntingly Intriguing

Bequeathed is a story that is beautiful, haunting, intriguing and mysterious. The storyline is as strong as the words are descriptive. The characters are strong and I can't say it would give it away. This book is a must listen / read. I enjoyed the story is kept me listening until the steamy and I do mean steamy end. I loved the fact that the author narrated her own book it just sounded and felt natural. I received this audio book upon my request. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of my own volition.

This book was really good!

OK I really love this book I love the whole story about Claire and she moved to the cabin in Minnesota that was bequeath to her from her mother and then when she moves in she starts saying this man that she feels compelled to talk to and blah blah blah. It was an awesome story, but then there was a pop up unknown about explicit sex scene it’s not even bordering on a Roddick it is the Roddick. I was unaware of this so when this scene started nothing was held back wherever his tongue went you were told about it I don’t know what happened after that because I fast forwarded to the end. Just let me say it is only like 1/10 of a percent of this book so I still recommend it it is just one scene and some people like that so if you do read Olen I’m not judging I just am not into that. And that is why I gave the story four stars. They should have at least had a warning. Also I found it odd that Claire would so boastfully sause profanity while talking to this majestic man who is so pure you could see the fuzzy line of his aura. There’s more to that story but I won’t give it away just note except for that thing and her slight profanity I still thought this book was awesome. That’s how great this book is, because usually one sex scene and I would’ve rated it one star, but the riding And the narrarater This is a story about Claire and the cat oh man Mike, Who moved to Minnesota after she gets back with her grandparents cabin it has been passed down to her and her mother and now her. She is very excited to finally have a place to live as her life has been one bad thing after another until she moved to the cabin.

A few anomolies but an enjoyable tale.

This was a short but enjoyable story with a pleasant setting. I listened to this as an audiobook and found it to be an easy book to listen to. The story moved along at a good pace, as expected in a short novella, but this worked well.

There were a few errors or oddities but the one that springs most to mind is where the main character is searching for something in a dark area and and thinks "what I wouldn't give for a flashlight". Erm, you mean like the one that she bought from the gas station on the way to her new house in case the electricity wasn't working, as stated in chapter two?

I received a free copy of this audiobook either from the author or a promotion or giveaway and am voluntarily writing an honest and unbiased review.
