Publisher's summary

From the New York Times best-selling author of The Love Hypothesis comes a new steamy, STEMinist novella....

It will take the frosty terrain of the Arctic to show these rival scientists that their chemistry burns hot.

Mara, Sadie, and Hannah are friends first, scientists always. Though their fields of study might take them to different corners of the world, they can all agree on this universal truth: When it comes to love and science, opposites attract and rivals make you burn....

Hannah’s got a bad feeling about this. Not only has the NASA aerospace engineer found herself injured and stranded at a remote Arctic research station - but the one person willing to undertake the hazardous rescue mission is her longtime rival.

Ian has been many things to Hannah: the villain who tried to veto her expedition and ruin her career, the man who stars in her most deliciously lurid dreams...but he’s never played the hero. So why is he risking everything to be here? And why does his presence seem just as dangerous to her heart as the coming snowstorm?

To listen to Mara and Sadie’s stories, look for the novellas Under One Roof and Stuck with You, available first on audio!

The cover is so cute

It’s so cute but Hannah’s casual no love dating is disturbing, even with her friends, I loved the part where he went walking a blizzard to save her… so romantic.

Ehh

I enjoyed the authors last book but found this one short and choppy. Not much character development or background. Not worth the credit

The Best of 3

This story was my favorite of the trilogy. Such a sweet story. I listened to it on Audible and the narrator, Savannah Peachwood, did an excellent job bringing the characters to life.

✨ 3.75 ✨

Below Zero was a fairly enjoyable novella.

This is the third book in the STEMinist Novellas and can be read as a standalone or after the first two books.

I listened to the audio version of this novella and it was fun to listen too. The narrator did a pretty good job with the different character voices.

I will say though, this one was my least favorite of the novellas as the overall storyline was a bit bland. The miscommunication trope is heavily used as well, which I actually didn’t mind.

The main characters, Hannah and Ian were pretty okay. While, I loved that Ian was a protective and pining hero there just wasn’t a lot of chemistry between them.

There was some good spice and heartwarming moments but again they just seemed to lack that spark. I think that a bit more development between them definitely could have benefited their romance more.

The one aspect that I did really like was how Ian went on a full rescue mission just for Hannah.

Overall, just a nerdy and lighthearted audiobook.

Ali Hazelwood simply writes happiness.

Ali Hazelwood simply writes happiness. This series of novellas is pure happiness. I love the characters. I love the writing. The way Ali gives us women in STEM makes my heart soar. The way she writes men? *chef’s kiss*

Below Zero gives you:

Bisexual FMC
Enemies (not initially but eventually) to lovers
Heroine in danger (I CAN’T HANDLE WHAT IAN DID!)

This was just so cute! All of the characters coming together?! Heart explosion. I devoured all of it and I’d do just about anything for more or it.

Love it

Great rom com. Love that Ian is so nerdy and awkward, cute was for sure the right words to describe his character.

Great Conclusion to the STEM Series

What’s great about this series is not only the special chemistry between Hannah and Ian but also this brilliant spitfire’s special bond Mara and Sadie. If you enjoyed the previous two novellas, you’ll enjoy this. Although I wish it was a bit longer, you get what you expect from Hazelwood: laughs, steam, and STEM.

Here I Am Again to Sing Praise of Ali Hazelwood

I cannot get enough of her writing. Wickedly smart woman, sinfully handsome men, and BDE backed up with actual big Ds?!?! I couldn’t ask for more. This book was funny and spicy. I can’t pick a favorite though. I want Liam, Erik, AND Ian.

worst in the series

I am only in the first chapter and this book is killing me. the entire first chapter is her lost in her head and then about her interest in being a space engineer...boring!

I just finished and it was slightly less boring but it was mostly her dialogue and not a lot of interaction between them to fall in love with.
