I’ve known Edna Kovacs for a long time as a friend and a poet. I read Bela’s Nocturne in book form and loved the simple good will of the story, a calming interlude in a chaotic year. The illustrations are so well-matched to the tale. The audio version is also wonderful, I could listen to it as a bedtime story myself over and over. Mr. Colton’s reading is clear, easily understood. His accenting is well matched to the tale and is wonderfully soothing. And the singing and the howl - so perfect. It’ll make you smile (as you drift off to sleep).

Such a wonderful bedtime story. My son’s love listening to this, especially while looking along with the book. We especially love learning a little bit about another culture.

“My favorite part is listening to the bear’s songs.” Albert, age 5
