Publisher's summary

She waits at the far end of the empty ballroom, restless and obscured by shadow. Here in the lightless corners, there is cover…an illusion of safety, where the only judgment suffered is her own.

Ahead, a single spotlight burns a soft, white circle into the darkness. She is drawn to the promise of the light; to be seen, to be heard, to be recognized. We stand here now in the midst of a wave of awakening to the power of the divine feminine. The world is shifting in immensely beautiful ways that are painful, exhilarating, and necessary.

Since 2004, author, photographer, and speaker, Don Hajicek, has been bearing witness to the divine feminine through what he describes as the lens of love. Breast cancer, divorce, sexual assault, war...Don Hajicek works with women, and so he works with survivors. He has discovered (and documents here) that there is great healing in the process of being seen, whether it is through the lens of a camera or not.

The audiobook is much more than a collection of photographs. In the end, it is an investigation into of the power of the witness, an homage to the resilience of the divine feminine, and an acknowledgment of the role of the masculine in her healing...and her in his.

Profound prose on the redemption of trauma

Poignant, profound, and powerful. This beautifully written book explores the redemption of trauma, the importance of healing of the divine masculine and feminine in our society, and the value of being seen without judgement. The weaving personal tales of the author's rich life experiences that forged his purpose are told earnestly and engagingly, with a sincerity and vulnerability rarely heard on audiobook narration. The music, also done by the author, creates transitions between passages and an ambience that keeps the experience fluid, emotionally layered, and at times cinematic. This short and sweet book is a delight that I would recommend to anyone.

Healing, inspiring, hopeful - listen to this book

I listened twice, back to back. This is the book I didn’t know I needed.
In this short narrative I absorbed hope deep in my core through Don’s testimony of the power of one human being to truly see another. The narration is beautiful. It also confirms that our unique life experiences and the wiunds we carry are redemptive in ways we cannot possibly imagine.

Find a quiet place that feeds your soul and listen to this book.
