Publisher's Summary

Ellison Gamble owns the most successful luxury real estate firm in Boston, but the accomplishment feels hollow when she comes home to an empty house.

Institutionalizing her mother for her own safety was the hardest thing Katie Crawford has ever done. The costs are becoming more than she can manage, and her only solution is to sell her childhood home that has fallen into disrepair.

After a tense first interaction with Katie, Ellison eventually finds herself in an unlikely friendship, and makes a risky offer to help Katie sell her mother’s home. Katie will do anything to help her mom, but being attracted to a woman for the first time was not in the plan.

Will the risks they take be worth the reward? Or have they wagered on a losing bet?

The best out of the set

Ellison is such a great character. I admit I wasn't buying this connection with her and Katie, but over the course of the book you start to get really invested in the HEA. It's a very enjoyable story. Highly recommended 👌

Everything!

Fiona Riley and her beautiful mind for the win. I'm not sure how she does it but she combines sweet, cute, funny and the most incredible sex scenes in hours of listening pleasure! Read it! The narration was fantastic as usual!

Narrator Sounded like a Chipmunk

The story was ok, but the narration ruined the book for me. You know the Chipettes? the girl version of Alvin and the Chipmunks? the narrator uses a high pitched/not at all sexy voice. Pretty much it was hard for me to jump back in. I kept going, but wasn't happy. sorry.

Wonderful story.

This might be my new fave book from Fiona Riley, moving past Miss Match , into first place. The story, the characters, the emotion… hell, everything was awesome. Throw in an age gap and toaster oven and you have one hell of a story! The narration was great too, giving each character their own personality.

Excellent

This by far was my most favorite of this series. Loved how it began the in-between as well as the ending. I couldn't stop listening until it ended, and still listened to it all over again. Great story and great narration!!

A new favorite writer and narrator.

A slow build, a hot romance, a fantastic ending. What more could you want from any book! I loved it!

So good!

One of the best by Fiona for sure! I’d even love a sequel! Loved both Ellison and Katie’s characters!

Excellent story, shame about the narration

I've read the book & loved it! It was the best in the 'bet' series. Unfortunately, the narrator isn't up to the task for this novel.

Wonderful

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I can safely say it won’t be my last. This was a beautiful, funny, romantic story with some deliciously hot scenes. The chemistry between the MC’s is off the charts and they are both so lovable. The other characters are also delightful, funny and supportive. This is a low angst story which I love. The only little issue I have is how the ending seemed a bit rushed. Would love to see a sequel in the near future.
