Publisher's summary

Since she was a little girl, Emma Grant has always loved romance. So it's really no surprise that she has found her calling as a wedding florist at Vows. She gets to play with flowers every day and work with her three best friends in the process. She couldn't ask for a better job....

And on the surface, Emma's love life seems to be thriving. Slim and sultry, she brings color into every room she enters, just like the arrangements she creates. Though men swarm around her, she still hasn't found Mr. Right. And the last place she's looking is right under her nose.

But that's just where Jack Cooke is. He's so close to the women of Vows that he's practically family. But the architect has begun to admit to himself that his feelings for Emma have developed into much more than friendship. And when Emma returns his passion - kiss for blistering kiss - things start to get complicated at Vows.

Jack has never been big on commitment, though, while Emma yearns for a lifelong love affair. If the two are to find common ground, they must trust in their history - and in their hearts.

Very Sweet!

This book is pure romance. If you are looking for a little suspense or danger with your romance this is not the book for you. But if you like sweet romantic love stories get this book. This is the second book in the series and I have enjoyed both...can't wait until the third book comes out!

Bed of Roses

I found this book to be fantastic. I was actually very impressed with the narrator. She had a great voice, and really pulled off the emotional parts beautifully. I always love Nora's books, but I do not always enjoy the audio versions. For me this narrator made this book better.

4 girls and a wedding business: Part 2

Where does Bed of Roses rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was actually one of my first audiobooks and it still ranks high among the books I've listened to so far.

What did you like best about this story?

I love the commraderie among the women in the story and how their social group formed. In each story we learn a little more about them and how they came to be where they are. I think that the history we share with our closest friends shapes who we are and that comes out in this story.

What about Angela Dawe’s performance did you like?

She does really great voices and it's like watching a movie with her performances.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book is full of moments that made me laugh, cry, and hit things in frustration. Can't ask for more than that.

Two Thumbs Up for Bed of Roses!

Bed of Roses by Nora Roberts and narrated by Angela Dawe gets a TWO THUMBS UP! This is a precious story about friendship, family, and the love they all experience and share. This was entirely credit worthy...a must read, especially if you are in the mood to get to know some adorable characters who live, love, laugh and "make" happiness!

Romance at it's finest!

This book is funny and sweet and touching and everything you want in a Nora Roberts novel. I liked it even better than the first book of the series, and I liked that one a lot. Can't wait for the next one!

Fluff and stuff

It feels like the book was just a filler to make Her Quartet a reality

Angela Dawe Saved This Series!!!

Bed of Roses was much better. Thank God they changed the narrator! Angela Dawe did a phenomenal job! They story line was much better and the main characters were way more engaging. There was more insight into Emma and Jack, the emotions are stronger, and the dialogue is so much better. Now, I’m actually excited to read the rest of the series.

I listened it to the end!!!

I wanted my wife to check if she likes audiobooks and bought this book for her with absolutely no intention to read it. I suspected that it would be "cheesy" love story. At some point, I decided to be brave and try something new. I listened the whole book, believe it or not!!! It was not as boring as I predicted and in fact, I enjoyed narration a lot. I must admit that something in this book make you feel relaxed and happy. But true fans of Nora Roberts would probably tear me to pieces if they would see my nose wrinkle in sarcastic smile while listening this cheesy phoney story. Male's behaviour is so outrageously phoney that it make me suspect that the author intentionally created grotesque out of them. I am probably the only male in this universe who managed to listen Nora Robert's book till the end:). I believe if I would have two X chromosomes, I would probably give 5 stars to this story:).

I do love a great wedding!,

This fantastic story of a group of friends running a business is amusing, thought provoking and totally heartwarming. Nora Roberts writes in such a way that you can picture every scene and character, so much so, that you feel that you’re part of this special group! Angela Dawe’s wonderful reading skills keep you reading and the storyline flows magnificently. I can’t wait to start listening to the next part of the wedding planners saga. Highly recommend.

Beautiful story, melts the heart

Nora Roberts has been a favourite author of mine for over 10 years, and she doesn't let down with the bride quartet series. Heart warming storyline, lovely speaking style from the narrator.

Love this series

Some of Nora Roberts best work. This series is so sweet. And the detail she puts in regarding flowers, running a wedding business plus knowledge about cakes, pastry work or photography is amazing. I imagine she did A LOT of research. I listen often to this series for a calm heartwarming lift, never fails to cheer me up. This book is like sinking into a glorious bubble bath scattered with rose petals and a glass of champagne at the end of a hard week. Give this series a go, let yourself be seduced.

Love listening to this series.

AUDIBLE REVIEW Love listening to this series and this different narrator does a good job of bring these characters to life. Very enjoyable and the ending was just so sweet BOOK REVIEW Lovely enjoyable and sweet read with likeable characters. Loved the premise for this series and how well balanced these four women are and how they each have their niche in the business they own together. The beginning with them all as young girls playing weddings was sweet. The support system they have for each other covered all heartaches, problems and moods, no matter how bitchy they act at times and then there was Mrs Grady the housekeeper/surrogate mum. Emma is the florist in this endeavour and has had a thing for Jack, one of the group in this family of the heart. When Jack and Emma realise they want more from the other, they start dating seriously. We get a big hiccup in their relationship when Jack’s emotional problems cause Emma to walk away. I loved how all of this part played out. The women protected Emma and though not open with Jack, they did tell him of how it would be and gave him advice for when it was time to apologise and grovel. Have reviewed twice before, as a single book and in the box set but reviews missing.
