Publisher's summary

They call me "The Beast" for a reason.

Locked away in my cold, dark mansion overlooking the treacherous cliffs that haunt me, I want for nothing...except her. The moment she set foot in my lair, her fate was sealed. I will claim her, make her mine....

I'll be her daddy.

Annabelle:

He can buy anything he wants. He wants me.

He's a wealthy, domineering recluse; I'm dirt poor. He's accomplished and sophisticated; I'm a 20-year-old virgin. But I can't say no.

To get closer to him, I will sacrifice everything - my freedom, my heart...my innocence. The attraction between us leaves me begging, and when he's done with me....

I'll be daddy's good little girl.

Modern Day Beast!

Any time there is a rendition of Beauty and the Beast, I grab it. It is my all time favorite fairy tale and Jane Henry has retold it with a modern day twist. Sawyer Gryffon, our beast, has been a recluse for a decade. When given the chance to expand his empire, he realizes he will need the facade of a wife. He chooses Annabelle Symphony and it is so easy to fall in love with this character. Her innocence is evident, but she has a intuitive side helping her to understand Sawyer. But this does intuition does not prevent her from getting herself into trouble. As true to the fairy tale, Annabelle finds herself in situations that anger the Beast, but in this case, a little domestic discipline is in order, and this man certainly can dish out a harsh, yet erotic spanking! In true Jane Henry fashion, this book had me enraptured from the first chapter, and I could not stop listening. She can write an alpha male book with a spunky heroine and I can be guaranteed a smart, hot and entertaining listen. I loved it.

Narrated by Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St. Claire, this team brings the fairy tale to life. Qualen has that deep, dark baritone voice which is perfect for Sawyer. You can feel both the love and the anger through his narration. St. Claire voices Annabelle with that sweet, innocent sound, yet giving her that edge of naughtiness. The performance was excellent.

If you are in to Adult versions of fairytales, Daddy play (not incest! Just call me daddy) or OTT alphas this is the book for you. It’s a quick easy read. While the love scenes are scorching hot it’s not all lusty mattress moves there is a pretty interesting backstory to the Beast and some parent drama for Annabelle. It remains true to the tale you already know and love while keeping it modern (and kinky). While you can’t share this one with the kiddos I highly recommend making this your bedtime story.

Book 1

The author gave Beauty and the Beast a very naughty twist! and a whole new meaning . She made me long for me to find my own beast. A tormented beast who knows exactly how to treat a woman.

Daddy’s Good Little Story

Was given the opportunity to read by first book by Jane Henry with new narrators to me of Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St Clair.

Good redo of Beauty and the Beast, even though I did not think of Spencer as a beast but more of a tormented soul. Gunnar with his deep baritone voice was perfect as the 6’5” Spencer. And Jenna did a wonderful Annabelle.

Have a towel handy!

the story, the way the narration is performed, the performers...a simply stunning, completely erotic, spellbinding tale! I found myself sinking into my little, and really enjoying the trek!

It'll make you want to scream for Daddy.

Female narrator ugh

The story was a okay twist to the fairy tale. I would have actually liked this book had the female narrator just hadn’t ruined it for me. She sounded about 20 years older then the age she was meant to be. And just plain corny. The male narrator sounded like the beast perfectly. Story also could have done without all the spanking. Lol now I’m okay with a little spanking but it got ridiculous. Like she couldn’t say “no” without a spanking. Sorry but it wasn’t sexy I was irritated every time.

Narrating is Terrible

The writing on this story was just okay. But the value the story did have after much fast forwarding was completely ruined by the narrators. People in their fifties should not be allowed to narrate young characters. Not sure how these people get chosen but these two ruined what could have been a decent book.

Good Twist

***I received this audio book in exchange for an honest review***

This book made me catch my breath multiple times. Always in a good way of course. It made me laugh and squeal at the same time. I loved it! Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a blush-inducing twist on Beauty and the Beast with a perfect HEA.

As a personal preference, the narration for Annabelle was not really my cup of tea. She just sounded too…matronly… for a woman who was supposed to be 20 years old…As for the narrator for Sawyer; he was phenomenal and definitely took the book to another level. He was aggressive, as well as, soft and sweet when he needed to be.

not DDLG

I liked the storyline a lot but the title is a bit misleading. instead of actually ddlg it is just spanking and the use of daddy as a nickname. it's still not a bad read tho

Beauty and the Beast

So, this was an interesting mixture of a fairy tale, light BDSM, daddy kink, and a second chance at love. The author does a pretty good job of mixing all of these elements together in a tasteful way that makes this story steamy and captivating. I liked our main characters and loved watching them come together as they get to know each other. Well written!

The narrators do a great job of keeping our attention and bringing this story to life l, I enjoyed both of their performances and would listen to them again.

Steamy rendition of Beauty and the Beast

This was a fun and very steamy Daddy romance. Jenna St Claire was good though her voice felt a bit too mature for the character. I love the duet aspect of the narration where the male was interspersed with the female narrator. Gunnar Qualen was also really good with a beautiful smooth voice.

Annabelle had a bad day- she bumped into Sawyer and then her mother, who shouldn’t be driving, rammed into his car. Poor as Annabelle’s family was, she couldn’t do anything about it and he gave her an option to pay him back by pretending to be his wife for a month. Steamy times ensue as he's a dominant daddy like character.

I thought that the book was interesting and kept my attention. I did find Annabelle a little unapologetic initially given she and her mother did indeed destroy Sawyer’s property. It followed the Beauty and the Beast story pretty faithfully but the ending was a bit abrupt. But overall, it was a pretty good “Beauty and the Beast” rendition.

Modern Day Fairy Tale

Beauty’s Daddy by Jane Henry is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast with mild BDSM themes that I listened to on audio narrated by Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St. Claire.

I absolutely love Jane’s books! She does an amazing job making you fall in love with her Dom’s. They are strong alpha males that have a heart of gold. I loved this twist on Beauty and The Beast.

I really enjoyed the dual narration by Gunnar and Jenna. This is the second book that I have had the narrators do the chapters together and I love it! It just brings the story to life and makes it so much easier to follow along with the storyline.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves BDSM, Alpha Males, and Modern Day Fairytales.

Beauty and the Beast

Beauty’s Daddy is a modern day taboo retelling of the classic Beaty and the Beast. I enjoyed the story with quite a bit of steamy scenes but at times felt it was rushed. It moved a tad fast to the taboo setting but at the same time it fit. The narrators did an amazing job bringing the characters to life. Great listen.

Beauty and the Beast What?

The was a book that was a remake of Beauty and the Beast with a sexy twist. The story was okay and it was interesting and I likes the narration. This was not a book that will be a repeat listen. But it might be great for someone else, just not for me.

My Thoughts on Beauty's Daddy

This was a fairytale retelling of Beauty and the Beast. It was one of my favorite stories growing up so I was excited to listen to this one. Overall I was really pleased with this version. The story was made contempary and was very well done. I liked the twists and changes from the childhood version. It stayed true enough to what I liked while being it's own unique story. I really liked the narrator chosen for the beast, Gunnar Qualen. He is a new narrator for me but he pulled off a growly beast of a man really well. I was kind of torn when it came to the female narrator, Jenna St. Claire. She gave a pretty good performance, but I don't really feel like she sounded like a woman in her very early twenties. Neither narrator did the best when it came to variations for different characters, but being performed in duet narration really helped in my opinion because neither of them was trying to do opposite gender voices as well. I did think this was a good introduction to a new to me author though and I look forward to listening to more of Jane Henry's books in future.
