Publisher's summary

The more beautiful the lie, the more painful the truth.

I’ve finally got feisty Georgina right where I want her. In my bed. In my swimming pool. Strapped into the kinky swing hanging in my home gym. And through it all, Georgina’s clearly becoming more and more physically addicted to me. A junkie in constant need of her next fix. Exactly according to plan.

But, to my shock, I’m beginning to think she’s not the only addict here. Any more than she’s the only liar. In fact, as crazy as it sounds, this fiery, relentless woman has been breaking down my walls. Burrowing underneath my skin and slithering her way into my bloodstream.

Indeed, when it comes to the indomitable force of nature that is Georgina Ricci, the gorgeous woman can have anything her heart desires...Well, anything, that is, besides the truth.

Beautiful Liar is the second book of the stand-alone Reed Rivers Trilogy. The full trilogy is Bad Liar, Beautiful Liar, and Beloved Liar, to be listened to in order.

Reed Rivers & Georgie Ricci romance-part 2

This is part 2 of a 3 part story so the reader has to buy 3 parts to get the whole story. This is expensive, annoying, and frankly usually not worth it as it generally indicates not only greed in publishing but a lazy unwillingness to do a decent job editing. This story could have been edited to a 2 part book or 1 longer book. I love series books when books are about different characters - friends or family members and the original characters continue with their narrative as well, but have little patience for stories that are drawn out beyond 2 books will still trying to get their storyline across. This is a simple enough plot that falls into that category. While I enjoyed the character development, the romantic and sexy scenes, and the overall narrative, the buildup and tension leading to the “miscommunication” was overdone, expectantly emotional, and disappointingly predictable. Hopefully part 3 will be more original but honestly, having already spent 2 credits, I feel 3 credits is really over the top, no matter how great the narration. This 3 book story would work well for the Escape Package though or as a “bundled” book or even if the first 2 parts were part of a 2 for 1 sale in the future.
Georgie’s initiative and creative reporting ideas were refreshing and her character remains interesting. Given her general intelligence though, I got tired of the frequent references to the 12 year age difference-her almost 22 to his just 34 as an indication of her youth. It didn’t seem such a terrible stretch for Reed to be attracted to her given that when it came to emotional maturity Reed was still behaving like a man in his early 20s, no matter how successful and put together he was in business. While initially drawn to her looks and their chemistry, when Reed gets to know Georgina, he begins to behave with more maturity as he begins to appreciate the whole of Georgina and to recognize his developing feelings towards her in this part of the story.

Book two of ONE BOOK-Spit Into Three!!!

I first have to say I absolutely hate when authors write a book and break it into multiple books just to sell more. When a book can't stand on it's on and ends abruptly with a lead-in to the next then it's NOT a stand-alone book. This absolutely drives me crazy.
This is a good "series" outside of it not being a series.

Can’t get enough Reed Rivers

Reed Rivers is everything I thought he would be and Georgina is just the spitfire to give him a run for his money. This is Book 2 in the Reed Rivers trilogy and I highly recommend reading or listening to Book 1 Bad Liar before you start this one.

A 34 year old music mogul that has the golden touch and thinks that women are just for his temporary pleasure meets a 21 year old beauty that is just graduating with her journalism degree in this amazing series. Reed Rivers has never had to work for a woman in his life until now. Georgina Ricci doesn’t wasn’t a serious relationship but once Reed sets his sights on getting her into his bed he pulls out all the stops. Can this non-relationship between the mogul and the writer work? Throw in an ex-lover that is still in love with him and a whole bunch of secrets and you have a recipe for disaster. Will Reed get what he wants? Will Georgina? Grab this series and find out.

This is without a doubt her best yet

Beautiful Liar is more AMAZING than Bad Liar. And that one was her best yet! Not only do we get the great story that is Georgie and Reed. We get epic conversations, so much fun and the hotness of this book can not be described. I highly recommend it. Oh - and narration is perfect!

She is worse than him

I can’t stop shaking my head. Georgina is worse than Reed. She is also investigating private issues that do not or does not require attention. He is perhaps hiding not the truth but hiding he is a good man. Georgina has to grow up and learn that life is priceless. Yes everyone does have a price. So she is gambling with a lying hand. Tells you how much I truly love the stories and going to listen to the last book in the series. It better be truthful … even if it hurts. 🤓

Loving this trilogy!

I have loved reading this series of books, starting with the Faraday brothers, through the Morgan family, and I have been waiting forever to finish the Reed Rivers trilogy. I have been sucked in hook, line, and sinker. This book has heat, chemistry, and betrayal. I had physical reactions at the end over what happened (don’t want to leave any spoilers). I am immediately opening book 3 up so I can finish. I will be so sad when the series is over. Also, since I am a perv like this, there is good sex in this book. I hate reading reviews that don’t tell me.

Swoon!!!

This is just as good as the first. I have to say that this series so far rates in my top of maybe all audiobooks. It’s a complete package from story to narrators. I just couldn’t stop listening and it kept bringing out all kinds of feelings and emotions in me. I just loved everything about it.

REED RIVERS!

I have read this series several times now and I love it more each time.
Reed Rivers is such a confident, cocky, sexy, alphahole! Georgina is young and a spitfire. The banter and buildup between these two is off the chart.

There is so much angst in this series. There are miscommunications and betrayals that are both frustrating and gut wrenching. But I ate that sh*t right up! The steam is good when it's there. Overall the series isn't too steamy, but the scenes where they are, THEY ARE!

I love Lauren Rowe's writing style and how she's able to really connect the characters, plot, and world together in a way that makes you really FEEL everything about the book.

Again, I love these narrators, they nailed it.
