This is a fun addition to the "Fated Over Forty" series. It is a stand alone read/listen with connected characters. This is an older women, younger man and fated mates story with a dash of crazy. The story is about Jenna and Chase. After a bad break up she has moved to be closer to her bestie and start over. She is at a New Years party when Chase sees her with his friends. These two chare a night of passion and she leaves. Let the fun, crazy, misunderstandings and interesting begin. I enjoyed their story and how it developed. Crazy Ruby adds some danger and excitement. I think the narrator did a good job bringing the characters and their story to life.

Great Addition to the Series

This was a great addition to the series. The character work and story line were well written. The narrator did a fantastic job of bringing the story to life and made this as fun to listen to as it was to read.

Jenna has moved to another town to open her own business. She meets her best friend and her make friend on New Year's Eve party. That was the night she met Chase. They had a beautiful night together. Then he takes time to look into opening up his own brewery. Then life happens and am unexpected baby literally turns life upside down for him and Jenna.
D C Cole brings the characters to life and his voice is growly as he voices Chase.
Cute story with a fascinating story!.

Fantastic

I was immediately hooked with this fantastic book. The narrator will pull you in and bring you into the characters lives. So many misunderstandings between Jenna and Chase. I loved how Chase was able to follow his dream and how Jenna did so much to make it happen. This book has so much drama, intrigue, manipulation and so much more. I couldn’t put this book down, with so much happening, I had to find out how it all worked out.

Great Paranormal Shifter Human Romance

I had the pleasure of listening to “Bear’s Midlife Baby”. Even though I love reading actual books it was a nice treat to listen to this in audibles. Jenna is a 45 years-old human and starting over in a new town. She is the new marketing consultant and she and Liz know each other from college. Chase is a sexy alpha big cuddly bear shifter and a logger who has dreams. Liz introduces Jenna to Chase and doesn’t inform her that he is a bear shifter. Jenna and Chase met a New Year’s Eve celebration and the two have an instant connection and great chemistry. So, the two head back to his place to ring in the New Year together and the two get much more than they bargained for with Jenna ending up pregnant. I enjoyed listening to the fated journey of Jenna and Chase.

How will Jenna deal with Chase being a big cuddly bear shifter, are the two fated mates, is there an HEA in store the couple?

Good

I liked the concept of this story- not just an older woman who never thought she'd have a baby, but also discovering shifters are real and that she's having a shifter's baby. The drama with an ex was unexpected, and the dreaded miscommunication / no communication trope- just making assumptions and causing unnecessary heartache- which I did not like.

All turned out well by the end.

D.C. Cole did a good job with the narration- though his female voices were just okay.

Enjoyed

Chase is a bear shifter that meets Jenna on new years eve. They have a wild night together, but soon after each one jumps to one conclusion after another. Neither one talks with the other.when Jenna finds out she's pregnant, Chase's ex appears and makes it difficult for them to talk. Chase's ex clan shows up and starts trouble at his business and put Jenna's life endanger. Chase fought harder and called his clan for backup. When they finally got to talk, they confess their secrets to eachother.
Happily-ever-after, wonderful characters, importance of family, drama, danger, fated mates, findingn love late in life, surprise pregnancy, audiobook done well. I enjoyed this audiobook.

wonderful story

If you’re looking for a fun listen with interesting characters and a story line to entertain, Jenna and Chase’s story is it. I really enjoyed this story and the narration brings it to another level.
