I loved this book. I couldn't put it down. I loved how the story line went.

All in all, this was an enjoyable take on instant love between a tattooed young woman, laid up from a car accident, and somewhat of a social misfit, and a tall, handsome, sweet, wealthy.....wait, did I forget perfect? shifting man/bear.
I have but a single suggestion. While the dialogue reads very authentically, all the “he said” and “she said” insertions closely resembled a fast tennis match. It’s something I might not have noticed quite so much had I been reading the book myself instead of hearing it read. When it’s obvious who’s doing the speaking, I say just leave them out altogether.
In spite of this minor flaw, this was a nice, “feel good” read and one I can freely recommend.

Like a warm hug

This book was exactly what I needed. I love how nurturing Cash is! Often, the protective alpha shifter trope lends itself to unhealthy and controlling relationships. This book doesn't go there. Instead, the crux of the love story is Cassidy's struggle to trust that a man who is attracted to her physically can also be genuine, caring, and kind. (Initially, she also has issues believing in his physical attraction, due to some injuries that she sustained in a car accident.)
I appreciate that there is minimal shifter drama in this story. I get a bit tired of the posturing and emotional dysfunction that so often accompanies stories with inter-clan blood feuds or crazy rivals who want to claim one member of a newly mated pair, despite the pair being true mates. Not that there aren't interesting ways to write those plots. But it is nice to find an author who comes up with other ways of creating plot tension!
I wish Audible would get the rest of this series! And I wouldn't mind listening to Moxie's other books, either. Bearly Healed apparently has crossover characters from her couger series. I guess I'll have to keep checking back to see if Audible ever expands their offerings from Moxie North.
